MKX - Cyrax: Mustard's Bomb Trap Explained

Mustard discovered an interesting setup off of Cyrax's MB Bomb after a long combo. This not only armour breaks, but guarantees him pressure off any wakeup option in the whole game.
Mustard goes into detail and explains how to implement this setup off of a number of different confirms, depending on where you are on the screen.
Please note, for quality of life purposes, Mustard demonstrates the armour breaking off of the MB air grab, but this is best used after a meterless combo into the MB bomb for maximum meter management.

Good tech that I found is if u end a string with 114 df1 and then do ex mid hover bomb it hits them they'll jump Into the mid bomb! Also if ur opponent blocks a jump kick and u do the anti air move, not only does it move u to the other side but it makes ur opponent think ur vulnerable when ur really not. I always do a njp to counter punish them! I love cyrax!!!

I dont get how you have enough time to do a far smart bomb after a f43 that hits them into the previous far smart bomb, my animations don't finish quick enough before they get close to me in the air

I'm having problems in practice mode. I'm sitting up with the net into df2 but that bomb is blowing the opponent over the top of me which doesn't happen in any of the combo videos I have seen. Anyone else having the same problem? any help would be appreciated. thanks

when i'm doing my hard knock down, about half the time i kick them into the bomb on the ground. have no idea what is going on.

I think it's 114 at that part. But really you just gotta wait super late. And make sure you are special canceling the bomb out of 114 and not waiting until after to shoot the bomb out.

Zayvor Gram Yeah once you get the timing down, it's not super hard. I've noticed a lot of scrub players lately. Well not scrubs, I think there's just a lot of new players, and with the new netcode, people who didn't play online very often are probably trying it out more. I've been using Goro Tigrar Fury a lot, just for fun, and 9 out of 10 guys seem to be completely clueless about how to fight him, lol. I had like a 20 game winning streak in King of the Hill, with freakin Goro. And I'm not that good to be honest. My netcode used to be pretty awful, and I would lose a lot, because of laggy button inputs, which sucked the fun right out of the game (online at least). I barely even played the game anymore. And I'm not going to play KI either now that they're about to drop their Season 3, so it was the Witcher 3 for me. But since KP2 dropped, MKX(L) is really a lot of fun again. Sorry, had to get that off my chest, I guess, lol.

You have to delay the neutral jump kick for the EX bomb to roll underneath them whilst their still in the air

Ah I see, make sure you use a mid bomb for starters, as soon as you land the neutral jump kick run forward and execute your back 1 or back 3 just before you reach them, you kind of have to do it at max range to make the EX bomb the second hit in your mix up but with a couple of tries you should get it

You guys helped me so much with your guides a while ago and learned so much from you guys. I played mortal kombat so much more because of you guys.
