I'm loving the ML Drums Plugin. I've been using GGD, but that Kontakt UI is the worst. The simplicity of ML Drums UI + the quality of the drum samples... Just an awesome plugin. Look forward to more ML Sound Lab products.

@@mlsoundlab hey do you have to use 2 instances of amped roots on panned guitars? Or is there a way to use it in stereo on a guitar bus? Thanks so much for these awesome tools.

One of the real pros of this plugin is its multi output mode! As other ML plugins it's rather CPU demanding, and internal FX make it sound crispy, so multi out is a great option for mixing! Thank you very much!)

Definitely a very nice sounding growly bass distortion. I wouldn't want to drive bass low end too much but other than that it's really good.

Mikko how did you program the ML Drums,did you use a midi keyboard or some other midi controller?

Mikko usually programs stuff in using the mouse + piano roll in Cubase, but I personally program everything in with a MIDI controller. Use whatever feels most natural to you! -Kai

It’s 10% gear 90% player. Sounds great but your an amazing musician an engineer so you can make a bail of hay sound good
@mlsoundlab2 жыл бұрын
There is truth to that. My technique is definitely not as good as it used to be when I practiced on a daily basis but the experience of tracking yourself is very important. Also having an ear for what will likely work and what will not comes with experience. These are things that will be somewhat difficult to teach but I could give it a shot.. would you be interested in such content?

@@mlsoundlab hell yes, let’s nerd out. I bought the amp roots and it’s killer and brings inspiration. Tracking and playing the same riff to a T is the hard part for me IMHO. ML sounds and you are genius, thanks for all you have created

How the hell are you getting that guitar tone! Man, mine sounds so horrible compared to this lol. What are you tuned too?
@mlsoundlab Жыл бұрын
If your guitars don't sound like ours do, it's likely going to be down to your input gain and your technique. Picking hard is really the key to getting good chunky high gain tones. Other than that, double-tracked guitars that are locked in well with the metronome will really help. As for the input gain, try setting it so that the light on the input knob of Amped just starts to blink when you dig in hard, then adjust from there depending on whether you need the sound to be more saturated or drier and more articulate. -Kai

I downloaded the free v2.3.0 macOS version, and both the AAX & AU versions won't load. A message appears that they are not valid 64bit plugins?? I tried the AAX plugin in Pro Tools, and the AU in Pro Tools, via BlueCat Patchworks plugin. I didn't see anything about authorizing the plugins, so I'm not sure what the issue is. Running macOS Mojave and Pro Tools 2018 & 2021 versions. Thanks.

MacOS Mojave is not supported - you'll need to update to MacOS10.15 or later in order to use ML Drums. Apologies for the inconvenience. -Kai

I can’t figure out how to get some drum tracks going with the ml drums. If i click the mouse on each drum it makes drum sounds of course. Do i need a midi keyboard to build a track manually?

The drums we see here are not free, this is misleading... when you download the free version you get a far smaller kit
@mlsoundlab Жыл бұрын
Mikko owns a full license of ML Drums, but the drums you're hearing in this demo are all the drums that are available in the free version. Left crash, right china, one rack tom and one floor tom. Nothing misleading here - it may look different from how your ML Drums looks, but the sounds produced in this video are all available with the free kit. Sorry for the confusion caused, I do understand how it may come across on video. -Kai
