Thank you for taking the time to upload this fix. Also thanks to the person who suggested killing the power as the roller rotates. It took a couple of times to time it but the video made it easy.I turned the rubber inside out and it works great.

THANK YOU ! I've been annoyed, enraged, exasperated (in this order) by this paper feed problem for years and now it's absolutely perfect, you just saved my printer from an horrible death and my blood pressure from unecessary drills. Two remarks : 1. I was able to take the Feed Roller out without a screw driver, unclip the 2 top ones and push down/back the roller pretty hard to unclip the 2 below. 2. I used Acetone to clean the rubber.

Nice video. Printing a test page and killing the power as soon as the roller starts to move creates a little relief space to get that roller assembly out even easier. Also, flipping the rubbber inside-out can buy you some more time on the bad roller as well.

Thanks man, you really saved my printer from being trown away :D Constant paper jams were driving us crazy... Best tip for getting the roller out was to pull the small clip sideways away from the roller. This way it got out pretty easy, even without a screwdriver. THANKS again for posting this video :D

Thanks for the video! Unfortunately I did not manage removing the pick-up roller out of the printer which is why I learned an easier way to fix this problem myself. In my printer cleaning the pick-up roller without removing it worked aswell: First of all, I unloaded paper and toner cartridge, as you did, then took some cloth and added some slug of benzine on it. Using the wet cloth I wiped it from left to right on the pick-up roller (or vice versa) to clean it from dust and any other substances. Finally I put the toner and paper in place. It now works! Yeah! German version: Ich habe es leider nicht geschafft die Gummirolle aus dem Samsung ML 2010 PR zu entfernen. Wie sich später herausstellen sollte, war dies in meinem Fall auch nicht notwendig. Ich habe einen einfacheren Weg herausgefunden, das Problem zu lösen. Ich habe die Gummirolle mit Waschbenzin gesäubert, ohne sie zu entfernen: Zuerst habe ich Papier und Toner entfernt, wie im Video zu sehen. Dann habe ich einen Lappen genommen und einen Schluck Waschbenzin genommen (das säubert einfach Vieles! :-). Mithilfe des somit "befeuchteten" Lappen habe ich die Gummirolle im Gerät gesäubert, indem die Rolle mit dem Lappen von links nach rechts (oder umgekehrt) saubergewischt habe. Ihr solltet auf jeden Fall aufgrund der waagerechten Rillen nur horizontal wischen, da man sonst wahrscheinlich nicht allen Staub entfernen kann. Wischt nur in eine Richtung, da der Staub sonst auf der klebrigen Gummirolle haften bleibt und ihr die Prozedur viel früher wiederholen dürft. Schließlich habe ich den Toner und das Papier wieder in den Drucker gesteckt und freue mich riesig, dass er wieder einwandfrei funktioniert :-) Juchuuu!

Here is a neat trick: Turn on the printer. Press and hold the Cancel button until the Toner Save lamp lights up. Release the button, and a test page will print. Turn off the printer just when the roller has turned one half turn. When you get your timing right, the roller will stop in just the right position. Now press the release tabs and apply pressure on the bottom half of the roller. It's not difficult at all!

trakthor This is a very good tip, easy access to the clips. I just rinsed the rubber water and flipped it vertically rather than inside out; the area contacting the paper was getting worn.

Recommend the use a 240mm long screwdriver rather than the short one shown. This allows the roller to be prised off the clip from outside the printer. I couldn't do anything with my hand inside the printer. Thanks for the assistance.

Great instructions. Yeah the top clips were a bear to get loose, but once done the roller came out just fine. Bottom clips are not so much a clip as just a slot for the bottom nub to fit into. Thanks for the video.

bottom clips are easy. I spent a good 20 minutes on the top clips. trick is they push down and then slide out a little. bottom clips you really just need to rotate downwards and give it a decent push. that worked really great to pop it out of the notch. I used armor all car spray on the rubber.... worked great and will help it last longer just make sure you wipe it off really well and let it dry out before printing something super important.

Thanks for trying to help with this, but I have to agree with biomanmusic. The bottom clips will not let go and I can't see anything clipping them in. The release for the top clips is easy. Any suggestion before I toss the printer out? Thanks!

I've been working at the top clips for nearly an hour now and I still can't quite get them. I've seen a few people say that they move "out" after going down, and I haven't figured out how to make that happen.

Got it out, rotated & cleaned rubber. Now I can't get it back in. No amount of pressure seems to work. As a matter of fact, I think I've bent the square-ish "axle" that the assembly is on. Thanks!

I pulled a number of sheets of paper back out when the printer jammed. There was a lot of resistance. Now the printer will not pull paper in. It just makes some noise then stops. I know I reversed the gears when I pulled the paper out. Is there anything I can do to fix it? Samsung 2510

Hello, my printer's (Samsung ML-2010) pickup roller is rolling only one time. What can I do in this situation?

Turning the power off during cycling frakked up my printer beyond anything I can do to fix it. Now when I (try to) turn it on, the Online/Error LED goes red and nothing happens. Holding the Cancel button on startup causes the Online/Error and Toner Save LEDs to alternately blink rapidly. I tried repositioning the paper grabber roller (eventually by dismantling the drive gears on the side of the unit), but that did not help. I downloaded the Service Manual, but nothing in it remotely addresses the problem I'm having.

i did this thing, but now the printer won't work at all , the red light (/Error) is on all the time. when I power it on, the green light comes on for a fraction of a second, I hear a motor sound, then sound stops and red comes on ... anything to check?

The video would be very informative, if you pointed to the parts you named. while aiming a light at them. I couldn't guess what part you meant by the "clip" in order to "push down" on. I spent hours guessing and trying in vain. I am sorry to say that the video did not help.
