No, it won't be a MLA-30 killer, because the MLA-30 is good for a wideband antenna for RTL-SDR receivers. The Tecsun AN-48 is a narrowband type active loop antenna like the AN-200 that requires battery power.

Awesome! I have some dipoles that I have connected to my HAM radio to communicate on. I use this for something small to listen to shortwave comms on indoors and it works extremely well on the short test I've done. Do you still have a radio?

This a remake of the Degen 31MS. MLA-30 is still better for the price!

I like yhem both but I feel the MLA has the edge.

Antenna is useless just brings in noise on sw and overloads any receiver even with gain on minimum, on mw it is a touch better buy not by much again gain needs to be left off, I find the tecsun an200 fair superior
