M. Laser I’m sorry. I just watched the video, and I agree you did significantly more research than other KZbinrs. Still, I believe this subject is over saturated on this website, which is more of a commentary on history youtubers than you specifically. When I saw the title I assumed you were going to be like every other channel and repeat the same facts with minimal commentary or historical opinion. This is a good video.

How about an option to end a war without the enemy being 100% exhausted, all their forts sieged down and completely out of manpower? That's why I like the peace in CK2, despite its simplicity. One big battle and you get like 40% warscore already.

The ammount of research and work and the quality of information are a few times better than many popular history yt channels. Your research is always one step ahead of most channels I know. Found this video (and channel) thanks to OverSimplified. Video: Catapulting a live donkey. Me: Well I have heard stories of dead animals and soldiers being catapulted into enemy cities/forts. Video: They stole a bucket as propaganda. Me: Well weirder things have been in propaganda, especially during war. Video: They camped outside the city walls and had a 3 day celebration for the sole purpose to taunt the enemy. Me: Hey now, that is just being a dick.

Yes, it is true. It's all in the book I mentioned at the end. Sadly that's the only modern source and it's in Italian.

@@esjb1191 Majority of the Bolognese army wasn't actually in the city. They scattered to the surrounding country side with most of the infantry just going home, which where mostly farms. It was primarily just the cavalry that managed to get back to the city so at that point they had much less numbers than the Modenese. Also, It is definetly safe to assume that the Modenese wouldn't have thrown the party if they knew there was any chance of a counter attack. Lastly, there was internal strife in Bologna after this as dividing factions couldn't decide on what to do next. Appeal to the pope, ask for peace, etc. It would be hard to muster an attack in such a state.
