They were very critical of the bad teams and stupid moves they made. Rich Waltz and Tommy Hutton were fantastic. Super real. Galarraga… the only pitcher in MLB history to pitch a 28 out perfect game. It’s time for MLB to make it right and declare it a perfect game. Present him with an award for it at an all-star game and have Jim Joyce present it to him. Joyce himself was totally distraught that he blew the call. Would it be so wrong to get it right now? Umpire errors aren’t supposed to break up perfect games. We are in the age of replay. Get it right now. Don’t start with the argument that we would have to go review all the perfect games and no-hitters if we did this. We don’t have to do that. That young man had glory taken from him in the worst way and it’s so easily corrected. The commissioner should have overruled it right then and there. Why do we pretend that the game is ought to be governed in the same way as the US legal system? It’s a sport. They can do whatever they want. It's when an umpire's ego takes over and they clearly overstep their authority to call Buehrle on multiple balks because he was upset with the first call.
