Tell Richie I said hello...and reach out anytime. I would say to stay back there are a million things you can do. I really like the bounce drill where you have your dad bounce the ball to you and you have to hit. The key here is that if you move forward or lung then you will not hit the ball well. @@JermaineCurtis55 no prob dude it’s very quick and basically a toe tap. One thing I’ve always been curious about is what separates the swings and hitters of different levels, so players in college, the minors, and the mlb especially with guys that have a near perfect swing in college or lower levels

Mindset. Guys at the major leagues are animals. We always had this discussion at the MLB level...it was basically, would you play LeBron James 1on1. Get ate like a birfday cake? WWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA? So enjoy your vids. By the way, this popped up on my KZbin home screen. The YT algo is giving you some love!
@JermaineCurtis553 жыл бұрын
Hahahhaaha thanks so much for watching. I'm pumped the YT algo is showing a little love. It's super niche but I guess the content was good. I have a question for you; I am wanting to target a bigger audience. The swing breakdown niche is so tiny. I'm really surprised the YT Algo recommended my video to you. Anyways, How would you go about targeting a wider audience?
@MilesB3 жыл бұрын
@@JermaineCurtis55 it's simple… Make more videos that are relevant to a broader audience. Consider this swing breakdown as a "show" on your "network"... Just like how ESPN has SportsCenter, they have their reality shows like dream job, pardon the interruption... They have variety in their lineup of shows from their network. You can build out this same type of variety in this same principle of running a "network" from your KZbin channel... Group everything together in playlists and KZbin will see the relevance over time as you continue to build out more of these shows
@JermaineCurtis553 жыл бұрын
That makes sense. Thank you! I had watched a video where Graham Stephan was talking about the YT Algorithm... Basically, it was about niching down on content so the algorithm promotes you and your followers actually watch the content you put out. So I was struggling with it...because I didn't want my channel to be only about swing breakdowns. I am sure I could have a group and build something like Paul Reddick but really don't want to be known as that guy. hahah if that makes sense. But thank you!
@MilesB3 жыл бұрын
@@JermaineCurtis55 I get you... This 'concept' comes from Derral Eves' $2000 KZbin course... Here is another one of his students who went through that course and is having success with the 'shows' method: kzbin.info/door/H0LUzFvtwb5B8EfVCF5uwg Notice when you scroll her page.... Manufactured homes/mobile is 1 show... DIY stuff is another show... Reaction videos is another... Man, that could be fun... "MLB Player reacts to Hollywood Baseball scenes" Reaction vids work well in many niches right now. But whether you do that or just other aspects of the game, give yourself freedom to test things... Look for the SPIKES in data and love from the algo/viewers (long average view duration, lotsa views, etc) and do more of what works.
@JermaineCurtis553 жыл бұрын
That's a great idea. I, actually, have made several reaction videos. Just hadn't put it out because I thought it would crush my views and channel. Thanks for the help...I will definitely start enjoying the process more and just adding value to my audience.
