If a player doesn’t sing by the January 31st and it is a contract worth more than like 5 mil aav (basically making sure it’s not scrap players who have hardly been offered contracts and are just filling rosters) they pay like a 5%-15% fine of the value of their first years aav, ,to the players association or MLB, or some sanction of some sort. The percentage would be based on the contracts length. If they don’t sign by pitcher and Catchers report date it bumps by like 2-3% and if they don’t sign by spring training it goes up to 17-18% no matter what and 17 18% would be the cap a player could be taxed. I think it’s a great system, the numbers probably be manipulated but just some food for thought

I think the plan for rodriguez is to start in the bullpen as a multi inning guy and see how people do. Rodriguez needs to work on a 3rd pitch and command before he starts and the jay’s rotation is really good as it is

As much as it would be cool to have random KZbinrs voting for the HOF, (cool for them and the people they vote for at least) it would RAPIDLY decrease the prestige til it actually WAS the Hall of Very Good. Maybe even the Hall of Not That Good But Statcast Metrics Say They Should Have Been Good (HONTGBSCMSTSHBG for short). The baseball writers are FAR from perfect, but they do a great job guarding the prestige of Cooperstown and they are the reason baseball has the most prestigious hall of fame of any pro sport. Its HARD to get in, you have to be basically INARGUABLY great. That's how it should be.

HOF votes in all the 4 major american sports should be presented with a players numbers without the name. if the numbers they put up is worthy of the HoF, then they are in . simple as that. vote for the stara and not the name and faces of the players. only exception is if you are linked to steroids, then you are out
