Roy Halladay was my hero of a pitcher. Everything he did, I wanted to be like him, strike people out, have his kindness and affection of him. When I found out he died, I went home and cried. We love you Roy, and you won't be forgotten. Roy "Doc" Halladay 1977-2017 "We love you Roy."

Man, at 15 years old I never thought that I would see some of my favorite players die so soon. I hate when people say things that aren't true after people die, but I can honestly say he was one of favorites as a little kid who's whole world revolved around baseball. I usually don't get upset when I see celebrity's deaths, but this hits me hard. I mean I never met the man but I always wanted to meet one day as a little kid. Unfournatly I never be able to. I mean it when I say Rest In Peace Doc Halladay.

Not only was Halladay my favourite player, he was also my grandfathers favourtie. I remember every time I went to my grandfathers house in the summer when the Blue Jays were playing we'd talk about Halladay. When my grandfather was in the hospital on his death bed my family left me and my grandfather alone to talk baseball and Halladay. That was 8 years ago. My only wish now is that they find each other in heaven and they both Rest In Peace. Miss you already Doc.

Seemed like doc won every game he started for the jays all the while his team was going nowhere anytime soon. Jays fans were very happy for him when he got dealt to philly to be the ace for a contender finally. Everyone up here wanted to see him get a chance to pitch in the postseason to see how our guy could do on the big stage. Ended up with the greatest playoff debut of ALL TIME. Made us so damn proud that night, we'll never forget it or all the years he gave to toronto and the rest of country. Were all very sad to say goodbye so soon because we'll never have another ace like Roy Halladay RIP DOC

Draven BBS in my opinion Doc was the last true ace, the word "ace" gets thrown around too much nowadays. An ace has to have the talent, pitching IQ, grit, and is on top of his game even under the pressure of the postseason, Roy was all of those things. The best pitcher in baseball now is kershaw, yes Keyshaw has the talent but he chokes under the pressure in October.
@thomasdemay98057 жыл бұрын
i think Hernandez on Seattle is a true ace but his team is so shit we never really get to see it but i feel pretty confident he would be a good big game pitcher too.

I grew up watching him. It almost feels like apart of me is gone... because it shows how fast time flies by. One day, I'm sitting down with my brother watching Halladay on the Jays.. next thing you know, he's dead. A big memory of my childhood was watching the Jays, but mainly halladay, because the Jays sucked.. they really only won when Halladay was on the mound. When he was pitching was the day to order food and expect a win. Man... unreal.

*And why shouldn't we remember him, after all he was* *the reason Philly won the Superbowl!* Or shall I say the moment the Eagles were rewarded and predetermined to have the victory of a Superbowl win after the "life sacrifice" of *Roy Haliday.* I knew it. I knew it as soon as he died Some thing said "Wow, the Eagles are going to the Superbowl and they're actually going to win it"? I can't believe I was right, but I'm getting good at seeing how the game is played by our Elite Puppet Masters. Thank you for your sacrifice Roy...

I come from the Baseball Family having been the girlfriend of a MLB player then became a Coach in the Major Leagues. Although I didn't know Roy personally, I feel like I did because when you are in the Major Leagues I believe you become a Baseball Family. My heart is broken for his wife and two sons. I think, how are they going on with this tragic loss? I am so lost for words, however I am praying for his family every day and I am asking God to give them strength through and through. He is in Heaven with the Lord, Jesus Christ, and at complete Peace with Him. It's just the family, the Baseball World, the fans of his and everyone that he has touched in this life will be sadly, sadly missed. Roy, May you Rest In Peace and God Bless your family.
