@@djl9919 Very soon Judge needs to be the DH to protect his career. But that means that Stanton, Dominguez and Soto cannot and will not be the DH. That means that the Yankees will need to work with both Dominguez and Soto on the improvement on their defense. Plus get rid of Stanton.

@@Bari82 Kjerstad was also out. I know the Orioles have been struggling through the second half, but even 105.7 rarely talked about the injuries until the players were on the verge of returning. No wonder the offense was struggling without these players having adequate protection around them, in the lineup or defensively, behind a pitching staff that has also been through the ringer. I've only heard in this comment section alone that Grayson Rodriguez won't be available in the postseason... I had an understanding his rehab had been going well and his return was inevitable... A lot of guys won't make it back, Wells, Bradish, Means, etc., and it's a shame we couldn't get Kimbrel out of a command funk before the playoffs came because he could've/should've been lights out for the playoff run... When the playoffs start, everybody is 0-0, and the regular season doesn't matter. The O's were the AL team to beat heading into the playoffs last year having not been swept a single time since Adley Rutschman's promotion to the big leagues, well over a season and a half worth of games. They were swept by a Texas Rangers team that rode that momentum to the World Series title.

oh no they are losing for sure they haven't won a series against the o's all year and have given up 110 hits on 62 runs to the O's to their 46 runs on 84 hits and just lost another series against the O's again and they are 7-13 in the last 20 games this is one of the worst single season showings against an mlb team i've ever seen from a franchise like the yankees

When you have Soto in RF and Dominguez in LF you are playing with fire and gasoline. They need to be replaced at the end of games, but then the team will lose offensive power. Boone will have to make serious decisions if they want to make a deep run in the postseason with this team.

The Yankees are a reflection of the ineptitude of Brian Cashman (makeup of the players on the roster) and Aaron Boone (questionable managerial decisions). The poor quality of free agent and trade choices by Cashman has resulted in flawed players (Enyel De Los Santos - DFA and Mark Leiter - poor to average) when other potentially efficient pitchers were available (should have tried packaging Tanner Scott with Jazz Chisholm even if it meant giving up Spencer Jones or some other prospects. Also, Andrew Chaffin; Yusei Kikuchi; Mike Lorenzen; Carlos Estevez; Zach Eflin; Yimi Garcia; etc). The highly debatable game time decisions of Boone have made it difficult for the Yankees to succeed over a long season (Exemplified by Tuesday night’s 09/24 game when he didn’t have Alex Verdugo sacrifice bunt after the first 2 hitters reached on walks and Juan Soto on deck. Verdugo is having his worst season ever so unsurprisingly he grounded into a double play; no opportunity for Soto to bat. Then later in the game, Gleyber Torres gets thrown out in a rundown between 3rd and home for the last out of the inning. After numerous base running blunders in previous seasons, Boone shown have focused more on basic base running drills and decisions during spring training. Both plays effectively killed any potential rallies. Then, tonight’s game 09/25, not removing Marcus Stroman and allowing him to give 6 runs, effectively killing any chance of a Yankees comeback. These incidents are a reflection of Boone’s coddling, permissive style of coaching, not holding the players accountable. Seems as though he’s too concerned about the players delicate nature and afraid to hurt their feelings by removing them from the game. Trying to be each players buddy doesn’t always work with everyone. Some players are mature enough, professionals who know what’s expected of them. Setting high standards and dispensing appropriate consequences works in many different professions including professional sports. Treating every player the same way. It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Orioles sweep the Yankees in this series and end up catching them on the last day of the season.

He cant hit like he use to he cant run he cant play defense.at least verdugo can play left field makes more contact & can run.leave him in left dominguez in center soto in right and have judge DH or judge center dominguez DH.i just dont see the point in having stanton in the lineup.he should be a pinch hitter at best.but this is why ive always said yankees will never win a championship with boone he just doesnt know how to use his players.he did the same with jazz stuck him at 3rd with no 3rd base experience how many errors at 3rd have we seen?

Ive always been a stanton fan but the truth is right now he has 140 strike outs vs verdugos 90 & verdugo has had over 100 more at bats.verdugo has 128 hits stanton has 95 both have same .233 avg.so you saying im ignorant when obviously verdugo can help save runs with his defense in left field while stanton cant and verdugo can actually run bases stanton cant.i love stanton but u my friend are the ignorant one.also you said it not me "when stanton does make contact"
