I'm so glad TGJr is here at the show in whatever capacity, makes me think about what the world missed out on when they blacklisted Pete Rose Jr. (unfairly) He very well could have surpassed his Dad which is incredible and a tragic misuse of power in the MLB. Even Nolan Ryan is still friends with P.R. and that says a lot. Man! I love baseball more than I love my dude! It's true and he has stayed home so i could sit behind home plate and watch Cal Ripken Jr for the last time B4 he retired. Lucky lucky me to live in Seattle in 2001, epic history making baseball, brand new beautiful stadium and both Cal and Tony came and got their lifetime achievement awards together. when they started to choke up so did I, it was magnificent! One of the most stressful and fun games I've watched in quite a while. But this is the Mets I was hoping to see in the post season! The pitching shuts you down while the offense grinds and grinds and grinds at bats until eventually something breaks. Snell out in the fourth inning! Tons of walks and long abs! This is what we need to see. LGM! EDIT: Ironic that whoever made the highlights is very biased towards the mets radio announcers rather than the padres ones when the ESPN announcers very clearly favored the Padres. I mean every time the Mets get on base "did you know recently the Mets have struggled with RISP?". Yet when the padres leave RISP twice in two big spots there's no mention of that.
@francisbaxter46632 жыл бұрын
Yea like when Grisham hit his meaningless home run, they must of shown him in the dugout after about 20 times, like he hit a tie breaking home run late in game 7 of the World Series.
@leavetheworldbehind19382 жыл бұрын
I don't know what announcers you're talking about because the announcers I heard were all about the Mets since game one. Talking about how the Mets offense is struggling and how Scherzer was not 100%... no credit given to Darvish for pitching a great game. Oh yeah and all the Padres HR's were "carried" by the wind. 🤣😂
@alecbormia45232 жыл бұрын
@@leavetheworldbehind1938 lol I’m not gonna deny they were talking about the Mets much more but that’s also bc they were being much harder on them. Whenever the Mets had someone on base they always talked about our recent struggles with RISP and talked about missed opportunities in game but they never once talked about how even tho we weren’t scoring we had long abs and really made snell work driving him out in the fourth (which is bc he had at least 20 pitches each inning which was never mentioned or just glossed over) Or the fact that padres left RISP in big spots that game. Instead Jake and snell got equal praise when Jake was lights out at first and even tho they both did escape jams snells jams were all bc he couldn’t find the zone and Mets didn’t chase. I can’t really think of anything they consistently praised the Mets for, expect for McNeil winning the batting title, when with you guys they were constantly talking up your defense and your big hitters.
@ANTHONY0808able2 жыл бұрын
The Met hating ESPN announcers could not be rooting any harder for SD. Second guessed everything Buck did the entire game and whined and cried about the home plate ump's strike zone the entire game but only when the Mets were batting.
