Discover the fascinating history of Royale Records in this video!
From 1939 to 1956, Royale Records was the flagship label of Eli Oberstein, a music industry pioneer who previously led RCA Victor's successful Bluebird Records. Despite its initial success, Royale Records eventually gained a reputation for recycling older music, leading to its phase-out by 1956.
This video features a rare early 12" LP album from Royale Records, pressed on a unique vinyl-shellac mixture. While these original pressings are prone to surface noise, they offer an authentic glimpse into music history.
I've carefully restored this recording, balancing noise reduction with preserving the original sound quality. My goal? To give you the full experience of the original recording without sacrificing its character to over-processing.
