MLF 2022 HEAVY HITTERS - Lake Palestine - Qualifying Round Day 1

If you don't know much about Lake Palestine, just know that it is stumpy. If you don't know much about Texas, just know that it can get windy. Today, I have both of those conditions to contend with. Overall I had a pretty good practice and I am ready to put in some work to generate some bites. I don't expect the pace to be too quick so we are going to have to grind it out.

Losing those 6 is rough but hey you kept grinding. I also love this tournament format. The landing violations kinda stink but weighing and releasing right there is just awesome for the health of the fish.

@@chapelcruz9623 The fish cannot touch the inside of the boat. Like when you see them shake themselves off and hit the carpet. Thats a landing violation and the angler has to sit for I think 2 minutes as a penalty.

Absolutely amazing to see MLF tournaments on the lake I grew up on. I live 10 minutes away from Palestine and I’ve personally pulled two 13 pounders out of the dam on the northern end of the lake.

I love the behind the scenes and want all of it. Even if it's the prep of a tournament or the travels that take place such as leaving a gas station without paying. LOL!!!! Love the podcast so much. I wish you would do it everyday or more often. It is something I listen to while I'm at work and also when I'm not at work. Great knowledge and awesome listening to the stories you hold. I'd be willing to bet that you have so many awesome conversations that should be recorded but didn't. You should and "we the fans" want to hear it. We want to here the DC we know with all the humor.
