@@TheTinHorseMonty I haven't decided yet on whether I can fit the BFL's in this coming season. I'm planning on fishing two other trails with my son. One as a dad/son team, the other would be as a boat captain for his H.S. fishing team. My focus for the next few years will mainly be on his fishing, at least as long as he has the interest. You doing the Ozark division again, or sticking with the LBL division?

@@danielcopeland3031 Yes The boat must be 16' or longer, have a back deck, motor must be a prop drive and it must have a steering wheel. You can check the rules out at the MLF website. I think that's the jest of it.

That's a great place to start. I fish several USA Bassin derbies each year. Those are team tournaments so you will need a partner to fish with.

Typically I take 7 rods. I have a back pack style tackle bag that holds 4 Plano 3600 boxes and has room for soft plastics and a few small boxes for other tackle. You don't need a bunch of stuff. Pack according to season.

I recommend attending the first one. It's been a Zoom meeting so you don't have to physically be there. You will have to sign an insurance waiver at the first tournament you fish.

I drew a boater on Grand, a few years ago and he was young, he knew nothing about the lake, I told him to not get very close to another boat in a pocket, he did it anyway, I manage to catch five, the boat he ran up on in the pocket told on him for being to close. My catch was dis qualified.

It's strictly a draw tournament. You'll be paired with a random boater.
