As someone who works in tech, i must say that i love it when non tech ppl reach out to my team and try to explain how some huge issues should be easy to fix and we need to do it faster. Give it a second, Karen! It doesn't work like that

Right?! I don’t work in tech anymore, but to borrow the words of the first woman on this video “it blows my mind” that people think technology can be fixed within seconds. On a basic level, just because programs work quickly, does not mean fixing them is a quick process.

I came here to comment about this! I think a big part of that is seeing people on TV clacking away at a keyboard and fixing computer stuff in seconds and not realizing that it's fake. Kind of like when you find out that DNA testing can take weeks in the real world 🤣

The irony of her getting on her social media soapbox to signal boost her message about social media not being important is not lost. I wonder how else she can best get her message across to her downline, followers, etc? I don't understand why she didn't send this message via USPS if social media isn't everything to her?

You know, sometimes the networks would go down at my various 9-5 jobs, and none of the workers stressed about it because we got paid regardless. Nobody got off shift and ranted on Instagram about how the downed systems lost them a day’s pay.

good point. we've been sent home early based on what was down. Last week, our main modem went out, so there was a lot of normal work that couldn't be done. We continued with what we could and got a new modem the next day. (We do have some outdated equipment in some respects and are also in the process of upgrading).

If the tech department responsible for Instagram was as "stupid" as she claims them to be, either 1) they should've never been able to access Instagram in the first place since these tech departments are the very reason these apps and platforms even exist and operate to begin with or 2) get her mlm huns to create a social media platform since they're soooo smart and the regular 9-5 people are so dumb 🤡 it's always these people who make the weirdest most bizzare remarks about professionals.

The thing that gets me about it is she's talking like she's never had a life without it. Like this is brand new information. To an extent I understand when someone gets off of social media for an extended period of time and sees there's a huge difference. But, she's definitely at least in her mid 30s so, for the most part, she's grown up without social media. Instagram was down for less than half a day and she's responding like she had to go without it for weeks and came to this epiphany. Ma'am, if half a day off of Instagram is that life changing to you in your mid 30s, PLEASE delete it.

As a software developer, at least when I was freelancing, one of my best "Sales Pitches" was when someone said, "Well I don't need a website I have Facebook". I would respond with, "Yes, that's true but you don't fully CONTROL that platform. What if they go down? What if they go out of business? What if they get broken up by the FTC?" "Don't you want to have a platform that YOU control? You can remove reviews that you think aren't fair. You can post whatever you want and not worry about following any rules or guidelines."

I just cannot with the hun talking about how much of a blessing it was that social media went down. The fact that she is using Instagram as her soapbox to talk about how you shouldn't rely on social media, and you don't need it for your business is the biggest contradiction. I've noticed a lot of the huns use their IG stories as a public forum for team training, which is exactly what this is. Her "girls" were freaking out and this is her way of telling them all to calm down. The positive thing is her rant will definitely turn away anyone thinking about joining Monat!

IT is complicated, and depending on the issue, it doesn’t matter how well set up the program is, things take time. It could have been one line in literally billions of lines of code, and you have to go through every little bit to find the issue. I’d like to see her under that much pressure.

As someone who has little exposure to modern social media (I was actually prime audience growing up, just as I got to University age, Facebook exploded, so I definitely grew with it, but at some point I just opted out. I didn't feel it was very healthy for me) this is all very fascinating. As my life doesn't involve much of it (KZbin is social media adjacent, so that and mixed options like Discord, etc., are my exposure) seeing all of this is truly eye opening.

I've been watching your videos since about February this year, but recently started binging some of the older videos, we have now reached the point I get ads on there to be a "better network marketer." I always hear the algorithm gets confused, but I have officially gotten there.

I love how this lady keeps extolling how great it is that social media went down. Saying how she got so much done. Does she forget that she has total control of her use of said media?? She’s talking about the downline controlling their attitudes about a necessary thing they need to conduct their business, and she can’t remember that fact? So weird.

The first hun reminds me of so many of my customers 😑 I work for an energy company and when widespread outages happen that affect tens of thousands of people all I hear is “can’t you fix it faster?” No recognition of how complex and dangerous that can be.

that upline was 100% in damage control mode, insta going down def would have spooked some of her downline and might cause them to quit, so she's drawing on their faith to wrap them back in and shaming them for not having thought of other ways to work when socmed is down, its not that this is a very unstable business! its that them as individuals aren't taking in seriously!

3:15 on my Hannah rewatch binge and this girl.... Wowee. I love how heated she is about stuff she doesn't know anything about. I don't work at Instagram but I do work in tech and HOO BOY is it not always a problem that can be fixed in a minute. But do go off about it with absolutely no technical experience hun! 😘

As a Software Engineer I’m laughing at the MLM hun who’s loosing her mind at the app going down. The fact she thinks that Meta wasn’t working on it with every available resource they have is absolutely COMICAL. Meta hires the best of the best, it takes YEARS to become a SWE at a high level tech company. Actual people who make 6 figures (confirmed legit jobs btw). I would pay a year’s salary to see her fix broken code.

God the way zhe spoke about people who work in 9-5 jobs and the techs who were working on the socual media issue has me LIVID!!! Her speaking on "people not having common sense" is LAUGHABLE. anybody eith common sense would know that some tech issues cannot be fixed quickly. That's not how it works. I used to be a tech support for My Chart and sometimes MyChart goes down and it's not as easy as just "go on in and put this wire with that one and we're good". Sometimes it's a security breech issue...can't just turn that shit back on. That was such a crazy video. And the second woman is just blowing smoke out of her ass.

No - Automotive sales managers do not make commissions off the people they train/recruit. That is exclusive to the MLM business model.

I mean, I use Instagram to connect with my community and clients, but I also was asleep during the whole shutdown lol. I'm not sure the rules around growing an email list in an MLM, but I don't know why more people aren't talking about this in their training. Also, that second woman has no idea what she's talking about. She couldn't have grown her downline without social media (since it's called SOCIAL SELLING). And plenty of amazing things have happened because of social media -- lots of education, activism, advocacy, and support groups have come from social media. And did she just bring the prosperity gospel into this? Of course she did. 🙄

I recognized this woman from another anti-MLM channel (Julie Jo), her name is Nathalie ,and she and another rep were in an hour and half "huddle" trying soooo hard to avoid their downline leaving. This Nathalie was the worst, she said the most stupid things and again used people's faith to try to keep them engaged but we could see by the faces of the women in the zoom call that they were soooo over it.

The second lady said that she did a lot of productive stuff instead of being on social media. She said that people could host parties, etc... Now how are people supposed to do that when they normally invite people from social media, they also do the parties live on social media, and it's still not advised anywhere to have big gatherings (I sure they like the online live aspect so they can get tons of people viewing). Plus, if they did a in person party, they'd have to schedule it like old school and make a in the future date for it. Not have a popup party the same day social media platform(s) are offline. So that's not a good suggestion and in fact, if I were a mlmer in any mlm and I got suggested this, I'd be bothered by it. It's called being out of touch and probably the one suggesting it doesn't need to work over 8 everyday to try and make a little bit of profit. This lady sounds like a person that doesn't have a suggestion or doesn't know what else to do when this happens. So that's all she could come up with. I'd prefer to have someone be truthful and say that they have no clue what to do 'cause anything else sounds rude i.m.o.

As someone who used to work in accounts/back office at a car dealership, sales managers DO make commission because they are INVOLVED in every sale, not just because they hired the salespeople. They have a specific job to do in every sale that is separate from the salesperson's job, and they are TOO BUSY doing that to sell cars themselves. Being a car salesperson and an MLM hun are similar though in that they will hire just about anyone, most people wash out within a couple months, and the people who succeed do it for 20 years but switch companies all the time. 😂
