Watched a bunch of your videos this weekend to upgrade my Optishot (which I have loved) . Thanks for the thorough comments and honesty. Well done!

Awesome content! The technology is getting so good so fast. My channel started out doing OptiShot 2 reviews because there basically were none on KZbin and now the technology has exploded. Thank you for such great, informative videos. When buying one of these at home sims I always like to do my research and your channel helps!

I’m surprised you didn’t mention 3rd party software. To my understanding, for certain devices, they dramatically improve the results and performance of the device. Great comparison though. I’ve been hard up on R10 but since these other two have come out, I’m a bit unsure. This review helped me hone in on what matters for me. R10 it is. Thanks. 👍🏽

Ok help me out, space is not an issue for me. I want one to start with one to be able help me inside and out and including to be able to see ball flight. I would like to be able to start learning how to shape shots and dial in on my distances. Knowing this will not be my forever monitor I want to start with something to start learning shot data.

Hey Sean, loved the video. I have been watching the Rapsodo MLM2Pro for a while now and was considering investing in one, however, I have seen quite a number of review comments regarding problems with connectivity and and the connection being frequently dropped while in use. Did you experienced this, with any of the launch monitors in this video, during your testing?

Thanks Kyle. That doesn't seem too serious then. The Rapsodo can stay on my shortlist.

I have the MLM2PRO with an iPad/iPhone. The issues with connectivity were all fixed after they released the most recent firmware update, atleast for me. I’ve had it since the beginning and getting from then to now, the unit is solid! I use it outdoors as well indoors for my garage sim setup.
@shawnlewis965611 ай бұрын
Thanks Tom. All feedback is welcome when deciding which product to buy. It's reassuring to hear that you're having success with your MLM2Pro. I'm presuming that it isn't "Geo-locked" like the more expensive Bushnell Launch Pro and the rest of the "Foresight" brands? It seems that outside of the country where you buy a Foresight Launch monitor, the unit won't work due to being "Geo-locked", so no good if your going abroad for a golf holiday!! Foresight told me that it is to do with product support and if you want to travel abroad, they will unlock it for that particular destination - For a Fee!! as if it wasn't expensive enough as it is, plus, if it is working at home, why would you need technical support when you are travelling with it. I don't expect this to be the case with the MLM2PRO but if you happen to know for sure, please drop me a message. I seem to have gone off on a bit of a tangent here! Thanks again Tom

Good high level info for each. I was looking at the garmin. You mention no subscription needed which I like. The rapsodo cutting features without a subscription is criminal. Why do I need a subscription to have the data ported into my computer for e6 golf sim? But back to the garmin. You mention that spin is a bit iffy. I do not really care about the numbers as much as I care about it showing correct ball flights. I have no idea how these interact with e6 golf sim, but if the spin is not accurate, how does e6 translate that into correct ball flights? How does it know draw and slice amount? How can it know the face angle at impact if it is placed behind the golfer. Inside out swing with a closed face will hook way more than an open face with inside out swing.

@breakingeighty does the SC4 provide any sort of shot shape data? Draw/fade/pull/slice etc?
@breakingeighty11 ай бұрын
Yes, it does!
@mehdikhaku852111 ай бұрын
@@breakingeighty I'm seeing allot of reviews saying that it doesn't have spin axis so it can't give shot shape? Is this incorrect or has there been a recent update? Also if it does, is it visible on the app? Or only on the e6 software? On the SC app it looks like just straight lines down the range. I don't see any curves etc. Thanks for the quick response! Your videos are great and you just earned another subscriber!

Does the SC4 provide lateral data, ie.. slice/fade or hook/draw?
@kamtroxell789811 ай бұрын
It does not currently. I was told they had to choose between calculating backspin or side spin and went with backspin for distance accuracy. I was told by Optishot (they have a deal with SC on their Orion product )support that they are looking into adding side spin in the future

Which is the best one to play sim golf? Or does it all depend on the software?
@breakingeighty8 ай бұрын
The software will definitely provide a different experience regardless. But the MLM2Pro using RPT balls will be the most accurate out of these 3 for simulator use.

I'd disagree. The SC4 is more accurate, has a better display, and is more versatile and you can get it for only $100 more. Even despite my critiques of the app, if you just use it for metrics and data using the screen, it's a better product.

@@breakingeighty For curiousity sake then and not caring about sim capabilities, how would it stack up? I mainly use a device outdoors or on a range.
@breakingeighty11 ай бұрын
@@everardogolf I think the Mevo is excellent, and I trust it's accuracy more than some of these as well. The big downsides are that the app feels dated in comparison to Rapsodo/R10, but more importantly is that it doesn't have any lateral data. So you can't tell if you're hitting it straight, slicing etc. But if what you care about most is portability, accuracy and carry - then the Mevo is a great one to consider. I also love the Apple Watch integration, as it makes using it way more convenient.

Subscriptions are a deal breaker to me and probably should be to everyone IMO. Subs charge you money in perpetuity for something that the companies offering them have already developed and are not cost centers for them; in other words, they are A) Residual income/profit centers, and B) a massive re-distribution of wealth from the middle and lower class to the rich. If you want to preserve your wealth, take that $200/ year and put it towards an agressive stock mutual fund that you contribute to every paycheck. In 2 decades you will be retired and laughing your ass off at the Rapsodo/Garmin/SC companies from a golf course in Scotland as you're enjoying the rest of your life of leisure.

Let’s say someone invested $200 / year for 20 years (none of these products will last 20 years but that’s besides the point), and you averaged 10% returns, that is only ~$9k in profit in 20 years. You’re not retiring and living a life of wealth on 10k bubs lol
