The thesis of Big Mac’s loss still haunting is so true. The stages of grief seem so cut and dry the way we normally think of them, but it’s not like that. It’s not a series of stages. It’s a cycle. There are good days when it’s overcome. Plenty of good days. But then there are days that can just hit you like a train.
@CleverHooves Жыл бұрын
You’re right. Grief is not a linear process. States/stages get revisited. The holidays are often a bittersweet time for many people as the smells in the air, the time of year, the traditions bring about old memories. It’s a cultural experience we should share more stories of to reduce stigma and help people feel less isolated.

I was so upset that it took so long to just invite Big Mac in. So much time could’ve been saved it was a conversation about what happened inside of a warm house

If you mean to ask DaWillstanator, who did a fantastic job voicing Discord in this reading, you can try to ask him via his twitter (Twitter link in the video description). If you're asking *me*, truly I'm not the best Discord voice. While I pride myself on doing a reasonable job of many voices, Discord's one I haven't nailed down (nor do I think I'll be able to in the near future).

Hey Clever, wasn’t sure if you saw my comment on the TWW podcast. I would love to help you bring KATRP to life. I haven’t worked on an audio drama before, but I have acted in a variety of plays and I’be been meaning to get into the audio drama scene for awhile. Let me know!
@CleverHooves Жыл бұрын
Hi, Terry! Yes, I did see your comment on TWW. For you or anyone else curious about getting involved in MLP audio readings/dramas... watch out for casting calls. I've had one in the past (for "What Hurts The Most"), and I've participated in many myself (Agent0Fluffy has them regularly, ObabScribbler has them occasionally, and even Magpiepony has had them for Princess Trixie Sparkle 2). The community of fandom MLP VAs/VOs is a bit of a 'small world', so getting into a project or two with a couple of different productions is a good way to hear about other opportunities that come up. My biggest tips are these: #1 Be nice (you may not get leading parts right away, and that's okay; what's not okay is kvetching about it to any/everypony). #2 A great performance can make up for a lot (less than ideal microphone quality, less than perfect voice matching, less than perfect adherence to script). All of those things are important, but *the* *most* important is performance. Whether I audition for KATRP or not, if you're interested is becoming a VA, I encourage you to find auditions and try it out. I know that my life has changed and I've made some great friends since I first started auditioning.
