The comics contain all the epic, creative ideas that the writers couldn't put into the show, because "little girls, target demographic, too dark for children blah blah blah". The art is amazing (even creepy at times), humor hilarious, story explored deeper, smart references and all the character development! I

7:58 I love it!!!!! I am a huge fan of Luna, my second fav pony! So that is the reason about how luna get bigger. It makes sens, so maybe the true alicorns get bigger like that. Awesome!

It would have been better if at the end when they were all remembering what they loved about Rarity and when Spike said "please come home" after that Spike should have yelled out " I LOVE YOU RARITY" and then she turns back normal

This is suposed to take place in the second half of Season 3. Luna just lost her powers. That's why she looked like in Season 1

takes place some time during season 3, we know this because Trixie appears and talks about second chances, not to mention a few other season 3 references are made E.g. Babs, Luna is in her old form because she has lost her self confidence, she returns to her more powerful form again when she regains that confidence.

Whenever a character is a villain and then reforms, I always prefer them as a villain. *sigh*...I wish the Nightmare Rarity arc lasted longer.

The Nightmare Spirits that took control over Rarity. They remind me of Venom from Spider-Man comics. Heck, whilst venom is vulnerable to sound and flames, Nightmare Spirits are vulnerable to light.

It is same as venom in spiders man and the movie is a venom and the same thing as sonic in his dark form of a black soul is his body that is controlled himself by his dark form like the sonic x episode that he's currently out of control then he gets super angry at him going crazy and anger then he gets darkness fury on his body that is so far behind the other transformed form. This happens in the second half of season 3, luna has turned back into her weaker form because she is afraid and has lost confidence in herself dew to seeing the nightmare forces return. Then when she overcomes her fear, and regains her confidence she turns back into the regal princess we all know and love. This fits with what Lauren said about Luna's appearance before and explains why they didn't trust her in Luna eclipsed, but do trust her now. It also explains why Babs and Trixie are there.

The comics take place AFTER season 2 meaning that they at least slightly trust her after the events of Nightmare Night. It's never revealed how often Babs comes to visit Applebloom. Although, Trixie's appearance does not make sense, as her semi-reform after her season 3 appearance hasn't happened yet.
