After the Fact: Rah! Rah! Rainbow!

Rainbow to me is the best example of a HERO character in this show. Not to say that the others aren't, but she is the one who can inspire others to greater heights more than anyone. And alongside her friends, she a MUCH wiser pony than a lot of people give her credit for. And yeah, you do have a good point about her rising up after a fall from a bad episode and taking lessons she learned from them to heart. And I personally think that Rainbow should be in the Wonderbolts not because she can learn from them, but because they might need her to get them back on track, since we've seen from time to time that they seem to be either mixing up their priorities or forgetting the importance of being a team, which Rainbow has PLENTY of experience with both. That's why I liked the Friends Forever with Spitfire and Rainbow so much, it shows that her even the heroes who inspired her can learn FROM her as well. All this and many more reasons that are too numerous to go over in complete detail are why Rainbow is my favorite pony of the Mane 6. She is a great character, she grows the most from her mistakes, and she's just fun to watch and listen to. Let's hope that wherever she ends up, she continues doing what she does best, being awesome, being loyal, and helping others to be even 20% cooler. (Wink.) Also, I'm glad I got to contribute with my own voice clip. You're right, it DOES sound better with other people! RAH! RAH! RAINBOW!

As for my feelings about Rainbow Dash, I really like her character. When I first started watching the series last year, I didn’t really care much for her character up until Wonderbolts Academy, where she proved that she’d give up her dream of joining the Wonderbolts for the wellbeing of the Mane Six. And while I do like her character, episodes like Rainbow Falls and Tanks For the Memories put a few hinderances in her for me, which balance her out to my fifth favorite of the Mane Six.

Rainbow Dash is the character that has had the most growth out of all the main characters. She was a overzealous kid who made a lot of mistakes and learned from them. Her journey with the Wonderbolts is so fascinating! Lauren Faust said that Rainbow wasn't mature enough to be an older sister to Scootaloo. Look at her now!

Rainbow Dash is the most complex character with the the most character growth over time next two Rarity. It is the very reason why I love these characters so much. Honestly, Rainbow rubbed me the wrong way till "Sonic Rainboom" and we got to deep she has some actual depth to her personality. Rarity was, however, love and first sight. While both characters have had moments where the writer of a given episode got a bit flanderized with their personalities, other writers still let both their strength and weaknesses shine through. "Rarity Investigates!" was a particular treat as we've not seen just Rarity and Rainbow hangout that much.

Hey, Silver Quill. Nice to see you got this video finished and uploaded. I couldn't really watch it for fears of spoilers, but I listened to it, especially the "Rah! Rah! Rainbow!" crowd cheer. I loved listening to those parts, especially since I put in my recording of that cheer to you. I even listened to it carefully to see if I could hear myself in there, but considering how there's like over 300 other recordings playing at the same time, I guess it would be near impossible to do that. LOL! Also, I'm glad you recovered from your appendicitis and appendectomy. I know how horrible it can get first hand since I had a member of my family who died last year from a burst appendix 6 weeks after having an appendectomy. What was more sad is that this family member of mine died 3 days before Christmas. So sad! So I'm very relieved to see you're fine. BTW I remember you saying that Rainbow Dash's birth-iversary was on the 1st of February. I thought it was on the 17th of September.

My headcanon (and hope) is that Rainbow Dash won't join the Wonderbolts. Instead, Princess Twilight will be in need of an "air force" for some sort of emergency, and she'll recruit Rainbow Dash to form a specialized task force to help handle issue X. Rainbow will put together an elite force with such highly charged energy and full of a such dazzling ponies with colorful personalities they would be known as the "RainBooms", and would become the competitive rivals to the Wonderbolts. Both serving to help defend Equestria, and competing against eachother in sports. The Wonderbolts aren't "corrupted" but need to be steered in the right direction, Rainbow has already been assisting with that and she isn't even an official Wonderbolt yet. Rainbow already has the leadership skills to create teams and bring ponies together, i think she'd manage her own team with "flying colors".

I think prior leaders like Wind Rider from Rarity Investigates caused the Wonderbolts to rot from within due to the poor character of that generation. Hence why the current Wonderbolts are good technical experts, but suffer from heavy lapses on sportsmanship and such. Thus, Rainbow will be the next leader after Spitfire, likely with Vapor Trail and a few others as new leadership.

Fun Fact: When I first watched the episode when the first season aired, I was a rainbow dash fan. I wanted to be like her because when the show aired, I was the most like Fluttershy. But as the show kept going, I loved how Rainbow Dash grew as a character, especially when growing a bond with my favorite of the CMC, Scootaloo. Though now I am an Apple Jack mostly, I do still love Apple Jack because of how in real life, one of my bestest and close friend is a lot like Rainbow Dash. My older cousin. Rainbow Dash has grown on me since the beginning and I know that she will continue growing.

I love these appreciation videos. They do an excellent job highlighting the characters' traits and pointing out why we love them. The effort put into this one especially makes it an awesome video. Honestly I couldn't really stand Rainbow until Hurricane Fluttershy. That's when I started to notice the character growth. Now I actually am fond of her, when originally I was apathetic at best. She might not be my favorite, but she's come a long way. I actually look forward to episodes with her in a coaching role now, though she does still have moments that keep her from moving up in my rankings of the mane 6. I hope she continues to grow, and can temper the selfish side of her even more than she has. She's shown so much development, and I'm honestly rooting for her now.
