I made the trick a little more exciting. When the five and the three cards are on the table, I ask the spectator, what his card is and tell him, that I try to teleportate it to the other pack. I put my right hand to the three cards and raise it as if I kept a card in it. It will be suspicious to the spectators, but I tell them to check that there are still four cards there. They count only three cards, but I show, that my hand is empty. Then I say, that his card must be in the other pack and I „count” them again showing the upper three and the remaining two ones as one, so it seems, that the chosen card disappeared. Then I show them again, and they see the chosen card appearing among the other four ones.

I love this type of trick. I play cards at my club on Friday nights and like to do tricks: it blows their mind and they think I can control the game (nine card brag), but it's all down to luck of the deal. You can also just hand them the first "four" cards, and then ask them whether they saw their card, and ask them to tell you whose pile has their card. Then do some sort of hand-waivy abracadabra stuff and make the card "jump" to your hand. Make them think you don't know where their card is until they are securely in their hands.

im kind of confused about how the card goes second from the bottom, if you place it in the 4th position, when you pull 3 cards from the top then place the rest back on top, their card is on the top and ends up at the bottom when you pull the 3 from the top the third time

@@zanelevy4736 When the card is replaced in the deck it goes in the 4th position from the *bottom* of the pile (ie 5th position from top). Then you move 3 cards from top to bottom (their card is now 2nd from top), move 3 more cards from top to bottom, their card is now second from bottom (ie 7th position from top). Hope this helps!
