On question 11.3.1 why are you including zero for the second digit
@kingamakhwathane1028 Жыл бұрын
For it to be greater than 100 the zero can be in either the first or 2nd slot but cannot be in the first slot because it'd be something like 012 which will be less than 100

For 11.3.2 why did you first multipy by 2 and not 4 because you said that in order for it to be greater than 600 you should choose from the 4 numbers, 6,7,8,9. Only the last number can be even Please do more past papers on probability 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽😭

Remember, you have 2 possibilities… Using odd numbers or using even numbers, which both affect the outcome.

@@MlungisiNkosi sir but it is only the last number that can effect a number in terms of it being even

For a number to be even it ends with either 0 or an even number which are 2,4,6,8 Hope this helps

Wouldn't it be 8x9x8? For 11.3.1? Because for it to be greater than 100 first digit should be greater than 0 and 1 leaving 8 options, then 9 options left because numbers can't be repeated then times by 8 options?
@myseraspy Жыл бұрын
it must be 9x9x8. The first digit can range from 1-9, second digit can be all of them(except the number we selected before), which is 9, and the last one as we selected 2 we have 8 left
@kingamakhwathane1028 Жыл бұрын
We do not exclude 1 when they say it has to be greater than 100 because 101 is greater than 100 but starts with a 1 If they had said numbers can repeat then we would have just subtracted one from our answer to get rid of the 100 option but since numbers cannot repeat it will be impossible to get 100 cz that would mean 0 repeated
