I realise my mistake at the free force diagram I added tension for some reason, but I'm not entirely sure why I shouldn't have, could you please help. Why did we add tension?

You could call the force on the cable as tension, nothing wrong with that... However, if you mean adding both tension and force of the cable, it would not make sense since you'll be adding the same thing twice.

Ouk but sir on 2.5... why did you use that 2500 for mg? Because the force of the cable was replaced...? And shouldn't we maybe re-calculate the force of gravity?
