There's a great Michael Jordan interview you can find on YT, and the summary is: Work ethics eliminate fear. Basically, if You prepared yourself and practiced all the situations you can be put in to, you know exactly what you can, and what you can't do, so there's no need for fear.

teterritory i stopped reading after you said GSP was another coward. GSP was one of the greatest mma fighters of all time. The fact that you said that means you're either a hater or ignorant of his accomplishments. Btw, Everybody gets scared but it's what you do in the face of fear that defines you.

I lacked confidence and I was too nervous in my last fight and that killed my game. I hesitate in a throw and that was followed by a lack of focus and concentration that lead me to lose by submission. It is hard to lose like that still, I am trying to chew it. I have to work on that.

I’m constantly doubting Whether I have what it takes to stop an opponent. Immediately when faced with a possible threat I can feel the doubt come and question whether I’m fast enough or question my power to knock out the threat. I have battled with this for many many years. I’m 5’1 145 pounds and always battling these thoughts. I love to train but time and money have been an issue. I’m not sure where to go or what to do but I desire to be free from doubt.

Doubt can truly be crippling and has no place in a fight. It can be dealt with in several ways. One is to have as many competitions as possible to desensitize yourself to stress. Preferably in grappling sports since you will not be exposed to brain trauma, but you will still get the benefits of competition. If you want striking competence, then striking competitions are very useful, but also risky. You can get good at it without competitions and by training in a healthy environment with good people, but competing really helps. Another is to work with a sports psychologist, but that is usually reserved for professional athletes. Some sport psychologists could probably work with you regardless. I had an e-book on mental training, but it is no longer available. It might be available again in the future. I could go longer about this subject and I might make a video about this in the future.

Samurai practiced negative self vizualisation before battle you can do the same what is the badest thing that can happen in the fight is better to loose the fight that somebody beat you up than go without fire the bullet Beleive me you are stronger than you think again I dont advice you to fight only in self defence fighting is stupid unless you do it as proffesional athlete for money You can get killed in the fight by some junkey or drunk guy for nonreason Stay away from trouble practice love and gratitude & peace But also remeber Connor quote always aim for peace but if there are no peace aim between the eyes we are living in the world with some evil and sick people always lrotect yourself and your loved ones

@MMACoach794 жыл бұрын
Tough as in going for knockouts or just intense in terms of heart rate and energy expenditure?
@mikegold31304 жыл бұрын
MMA Coach not so much looking for knockouts but for me it’s always been hard to punch somebody hard so when I spar with guys who like to spar hard it’s usually me running away and throwing a light jab trying to avoid them throwing hard shots at my head.
@MMACoach794 жыл бұрын
I don't like hard sparrings where people try to hit each other hard to the head. Full speed - yes, but controlled. Save the hard punches for the octagon (if you ever compete). Either find a new club where they spar differently, or perhaps quit MMA if you don't enjoy it. No use in forcing it.
