とてもわかりやすい解説でした。短い曲ですが、非常にダイナミックで洗礼された曲で好きです。

I may be a strange person, because I plan to learn this prelude, and don`t plan to learn all 24. Love this one... thanks Maestro Greg for the great content, as always.

Hahahahaha, I didn't mean it! It's so beautiful that the world is so diverse and people are so different. Maybe what I said was not right. It was just my opinion. Congratulations and good luck!

hahaha No worries professor, you got it wrong, in fact i totaly agree with you and probably 99% of pianists will no touch this piece ever... it`s a strange music in a way, but it is beautiful for sure.@@gregniemczuk

Thank you, Greg, for your most valuable advices. It is indeed quite an etude, which I will certainly put on my bucket list. Such a drama; I wonder in what circumstances Chopin wrote this piece.

Wonderful tutorial and great advice about not listening to recordings of this prelude. It sounds so beautiful when you played it just a little slower and it makes much more sense rhythmically. I was very intimidated by this prelude but I will give it a try. Thank you!

I really enjoy your tutorial videos. I just want to say that I have been obsessed with this piece for a very long time and I’ve always found it to be one of the most beautiful and intricate pieces out there. It is almost a shame it is so short. I finally learned it in the past year and your tutorials have been helpful.

Hi! Alphabet is for my fans from Poland, music lovers with no knowledge about music, another project dedicated to them. So it's something else. I'll try to continue uploading although I start to have a busy concert schedule

One of my favorite preludes that's almost never played. Along with 14.

@gregniemczuk I think it has something to do with how I try to understand composers and people in general. I don't try to understand someone from what they're known for or what they appear on the outside, but rather their more "different" side. Prelude no 5 and 14 are a very different chopin and the peculiarities of these works are what make me want to understand them so I can understand more of chopin. Chopin being my favorite composer, I want to understand everything there is to him and through the music he writes. The 14th prelude gave me a really deep understanding of chopin. Thanks to your analysis and the the readings you did, I understand more than I thought I did and I feel drawn into the music and wanting to explore more. Anyways that's a general idea of why I think I feel drawn to this music so much.

Great video, very instructive! But... my curiosity goes beyond musical matters: what about that beautiful iron pan that is on the table behind you? 😅
