I have listened to this artist/teacher many times and I have gone back to his analysis once again. I love this piece and have gone back and played it many times with a new understanding of the many musical, emotional layers of this Chopin waltz. We are so lucky that this piece survived and this incredibly talented Polish artist is able to bring it to life for us. After listening to his analysis you realize that while the notes are easy the depth of emotion that Chopin has imbued in this short waltz is a treasure. As this artist tells us- it’s genius. 5 lat temu ktoś z Polski złamał mi serce w najbardziej podły sposób, jaki człowiek potrafi. Po jej odejściu próbowałem znaleźć ukojenie w muzyce klasycznej. Nie jestem Polakiem, ale co za zbieg okoliczności, że wkrótce Chopin stał się osobą, o której myślałem codziennie. Znalazłem Zimmermana, Fialkowską i Lisieckiego - wszystkich znanych interpretatorów Chopina. Chociaż dwaj ostatni to moi rodacy, ja jestem zupełnie niewykształcony muzycznie, aby ich krytycznie ocenić. Pan natomiast jest trzecim cudem w filmie ze względu na sposób, w jaki potrafi Pan opowiedzieć o swoim słynnym rodaku i jego twórczości. Muzyka Chopina porusza nas nie tylko nutami i motywami... ale westchnieniami i tęsknotami, które odczuwa się w melancholii, w którą wplata się. Dla mnie ten utwór przenosi myślami do Żelazowej Woli...słuchanie fortepianu w domu Chopina pierwsze słoneczny letni poranek 2008 roku...z nią u mego boku. Melancholia i Chopin - bez nich nie mogę żyć.

Every student that play thos waltz, I allways say to him that this waltz is not good, as I think that it is so bad that maybe Chopin didnt write this. Today, with the spirit of your lectures, I said to a student "you know what, now I am going to change my mind. This is a good waltz, lets analyze it. And we started do analyze, and than after the lesson I went to see your video about it, and WE ANALYZED THE SAME!!!!!
