Oscar was my favourite fighter ever growing up, kinda like my hero ... I've ridden the roller-coaster of being a fan of Oscars. After watching this interview, I'm even more of a fan. This version of public honesty makes him even more genuine. No one is a golden boy, but this is as close to providing a good example of what a golden boy is (being a thousand percent honest) . People love to laugh at Oscar nowadays, Dana White takes shots at him , but they truly don't understand how BIG of a deal and how good Oscar was, he was incredible in the ring an all time great! He was also the first boxer with a "pop Star" like following, the Ricky Martin of boxing. Now hearing all the stuff he went through is heartbreaking to hear, being that young and famous must be extremely overwhelming and scary, I'm delighted to see him alive and telling his story 🎉

Growing up he was my favorite fighter. I was afraid of meeting him cause sometimes your heros arent what you think they are. Met him at the canelo vs Mayweather press conference. He signed my glove and even spoke for a bit. Great guy

Those are things that drug users and ex drug users say because they get obsessed easily. That is why recovering drug addicts sometimes seem SUPER obsessed with religion or exercise or philosophy. For the moment, it is his girlfriend of two years.

Generational trauma will only be understood by someone that has gone through it. It leaves a lasting mark and void that is carried into adulthood.I understand why Óscar having millions of dollars and fame still feels empty. People today think anyone who straightens their kids out every once in a while must hate their kids. Intense relationships form in some houses where some kids 🙋were uncontrollable and never took anything seriously. Intense highs and intense lows. Mental health and drugs/alcohol werent a focus of society back before social media. The best thing about social media is now we can see how important those issues are.

In defense of Al Haymon. There are different types of promoter. There are ones that are the face of an organization and cheer on the fights. There are ones that focus more on staying out of the light bc what u say one camera usually dampens what goes on behind making egos flair and negotiations harder. Then their are guys that do both like Bob Arum who gets on camera and his team are the principals behind the scenes. Not many do both as well as Bob, nobody stays behind better than Al, and Don King was the style I think Floyd should adapt. You cant bash Al without understanding that man is glue and uses his mind and chess pieces around him!
