The fact that Whittaker and Costa didn't get Fight of the Night should be a criminal offense. Legendary showdown, and I'm really glad we saw the best of both.

@@seanmy3884 Frankly he never did Rob any favors either. I think Costa's inconsistency is entirely him trying to give them the middle finger for their contemptuous attitude towards fighters.

Good to have the boys back. Jonny held down the base and Rob delivered on the battlefield in the octagon. Great job both of you! My favorite moment was after the Costa kick. Lesser fighters would have panicked and shot for a takedown. But Rob being the champ he is went like “I eat these for breakfast, is that all you got?” Loved it, we are so proud of you Champ!

Happy to see him smile. Cus I don’t know if I ever seen Rob so focused and pissed like he was the build up to that fight. Costa try play funny games Rob wasn’t having it the week off. Also show Rob don’t care who is ranked low he fights anyone. Why he deserves it a chance again. Costa will destroy if he comes in like he did against Rob.

THE BOYS ARE BACK! congrats to rob on the amazing fight andyiu Jonny with your success on the channels, I suggested this on the video before it went down, but would you ever do an MMArcade event? Like a chrity event where you do "MMArcade" so you get some fighters and they do 3 rounds, round 1 MMA, round 2 Arcade, so they choose to do a round on something like Tekken, MK, or smash, and then round 3 back to MMA or vice versa with 2 gamings and 1 MMA. I think that would be awesome, would love to hear your thoughts!

Rob your my fav fighter. By FAR. But sad to say, the reason you lost Rd 1 is because while you did win MOST of Rd 1, nothing you did, even accumulatively, was equal to Costa almost FINISHING you. Had their been a few more seconds its possible u could have been KO’d, whereas u never had him in a position to almost be finished. Damage or almost being finished trumps all else in the modern scoring criteria. I disagree with it, but I’ve listened into many NSAC judging seminars they offer to us media and they state this every year. Many fighters are just unaware.

I felt that Martin influence in the whole setting and the world being LOTR-esque and heroic instead of gloomy and hopeless, and in the main pantheon of characters. Aside of the signature he left by naming everyone with G, R or M. But I'd say Fromsoft did their thing very well in twisting and corrupting that heroic narrative so that it turns out more tragic for every character and just setting the story in a "middle part" of what Martin wrote leaving pieces out for the players to try figure Edit: BTW incredible fight Rob, you guys put on a fn war🔥

Congrats again, Rob! I was really impressed by the use of his straight left off of the overhand. He'd blitz in close off the overhand right and most everyone throws a left hook off of it. He kept sitting down on a tight straight left and splitting Paulo's guard. Really surgical, really well composed. So happy to see him in the win column.

Hearing you say he hits hard and fast confirms he still very very good. That was the fight of the night. I posted you on my ig story maybe 10 times that night. I love Volk too hope he comes back and beats ilia cus we love Volk too. But some of these “fans” ain’t real fans they internet trolls mostly. People who live and gets mma knows how hard this is. Y’all bare y’all soul and fighting for y’all life’s and entertaining us, which is a gift to us. I hated when they booed some fighter cus the were grappling. I always closely watch all the fighters body language and pay attention to the things they say in fight week. And you could see Rob was intense and looked like it could be the most dangerous Rob we've seen in years. But I also saw the most confident, trimmed down Costa I've seen in years. Talking about back to back training camps and a lot of new improvements no one had seen yet and all I could think is this feels like a title fight level fight right here. And I think it was every bit as high level as the title fight we just saw. Congrats Rob on getting past him.
