I've been saying this ever since Khamzat vs Whittaker was booked. If Rob is able to survive the first 2 rounds of wrestling onslaught, I think Khamzat might gas himself out. Khamzat has never been in a 5 rounder fight and Whittaker has been in plenty. Plus Khamzat's health is under question ever since he tanked that COVID infection. Can he realistically survive Bobby Knuckles in the later stages of the fight if his wrestling doesn't give him the result he's seeking? this is a very 50/50 fight and people don't realize how close it can be if all the stars line up. Either of them can make this look easy. On the other hand, my ass will be shaking during Topuria vs Holloway. One of the sickest fights of all time and possibly the greatest fight of 2024. Topuria by 3rd round KO. Nice video man, great job.

Khamzat struggled with burns and a out of shape usman with no training camp, a fully prepared rob will wipe the floor with him, he's stopped takedowns from guys bigger than khamzat

If Rob wants to win, he should absolutely seek for a finisher, if this fight goes the distance, considering it's being done in Abu-Dhabi and all that, I think they might give Khamzat the victory nod just because of it. If Rob survives the first 2 rounds and then actively searches for a finish, he has a pretty decent chances to take the W home.

Khamzat is an elite wrestler, both in terms of his offensive submission game and his control, he tires himself but when he does exert himself, he is VERY dominant genuinely unstoppable. A crucial factor in that matchup is every round starts on the feet, Rob is masterful when it comes to his striking and range management and has shown an wonderful ability to counter grapple-heavy fighters before. He is lightyears ahead of Burns and Usman on the feet and they gave Khamzat a rough time. I genuinely think Ilia will be surprised as to how good Max is on the feet, Ilia will win tho. He will grapple and he will win the fight, maybe not the most fan favourite method but he will defend his belt in my opinion.
