I have the same car here in Australia, but it's sold as the Holden Astra. I've got the Holden Astra RS-V 1.6L Turbo manual in Nitrate Silver and it's one of the nicest cars I've ever owned. Holden in Australia is similar to Opel in Europe and Vauxhall in the UK. Just an observation, you must know these roads pretty well, because you were kind of scaring the shite out of me on some of those stretches of roads! Too fast dude! Lol!

Hi, really good video - this car is quite special. I am interested to know did it have a gas (petrol) particulate filter fitted? More recent cars with the gpf have a slightly slower 0-100 km/h, but 7.0s was the time for the early Astra K 1.6 turbos.

These engine is, how I say it, bad. Every good engine from opel get down sized. One plus point for the k astra, he is a lightweight against an j gtc or j gtc opc/vxr. But I prefer my j astra opc, because it's a hatch/coupe and not a 5 door hatch.

The suspension is a bit soft (especially in the back) , oriented more on the comfort side, which is good for dealing with bad roads but it's one of the reasons it feels like it's not ''hot hatch'' sporty. There are some owners who switched to Bilstein B14 or St Suspension coilovers and say it greatly improves the handling if you don't mind the harsher ride. I'm considering that change also but the fact that the road to my home is really bad makes the comfortable suspension a thing I don't want to give up yet.

Ein sehr schönes Auto aber deine Fahrweise ist grottig. Du bist weder ein Rennfahrer, noch fährst du einen Rennwagen, noch bist du auf einer Rennstrecke. Man kann gerne mal sein Fahrzeug austesten, aber definitiv nicht so. Es hätte für dich böse enden können bei 3:35. Niemand mit gesundem Verstand fährt an der Stelle so schnell.
