Recently got MMD Princess tactiles v2, very happy with it. The sound and feel is perfect for me. Before these switches I was using akko v3 creamy blue pro, the click was not as strong as I would like and the Princess was just perfect.

I don't know, I bought the 48 g version to replace gateron browns on my keychron Q6, but comparing them side by side they sound much worse on that board. I will keep the gaterons. Princesses on gmk67 sound fine though, I will keep them there.

They do sound loud! I'll have to try them out. I don't care about budget, but lately I have been putting cheaper switches on keys I don't use much.

They are quite fun and better than some pricier switches, in my opinion anyways.

please make a review of the MMD Sea Salt tactile i have just bought and typing right now on them they are 65 gf tactile force and about 50 gf on operating they are bit heavy feeling but the sound is more "clacky" than "thocky" i would say and i was thinking if i should buy the MMD Princess v3 tactile that just came out aswell? hmm...

I got some Panda clones of Ali recently and the bag included one of each MMD Princess (Tactile and Linear). They feel nice but I think I prefer the panda clones I got as they were on a 55g spring, Panda style tend to make that feel more because of the bump. For me the MMD, the clones and also Outemu Panda all feel very similar to me. I think there is little between them feel wise apart from sound. For the money the MMD are great, I am a fan of the P style tactile instead of D style

These are pretty interesting I'll have to give them a try. If you haven't already you should try the Epomaker Budgerigar switch, another great budget tactile that are snappy and satisfying to use, and they come pre-lubed.

How would you compare the tactile bump to the durock t1s and boba u4ts?
@MechKeyboards7 ай бұрын
IMO the T1 has the lighter bump of all three, the Princess is in the middle with a medium heavy bump, and the U4T with a nice and heavy bump that cannot be missed and makes it one of my favorite tactile switches and one that beats them in tactility.

Hi, I got some of these and i am having pretty severe ticking (probably the leaf but i am not sure) issues on about half of the switches that i got. Do you think filming and lubing the back of the leaves can help fix this? I think the aluminum plate in my build also exacerbates this issue but i dont really feel like getting a new plate. Thanks!
@MechKeyboards Жыл бұрын
I've not experienced switch ticking, but spring leaf ping can be taken care of with a small dab of grease on the back of the leaf spring. Films are meant for switches that have loose housings and as these have very good tolerances, I'd be more concerned with switch films causing issues, as there is nothing for them to correct.

Do you have a comparison with Cherry/Gateron Browns? I have the latter and they feel is disappointing. Almost like linears, even Kailh Browns were better IMO. How's the Princesses?
@MechKeyboards Жыл бұрын
Where as the Brown is a light tactile, I would consider this a heavy tactile; the bump is quite pronounced.
@duyanhcenland2044 Жыл бұрын
i change from gateron brown to thís switch recently and its amazing dif like day and night about typing experience even that i have to desolder my pcb which is nightmare for me but it worth :)) and its really loud
@GreySectoid4 ай бұрын
I was going to replace gateron browns with V2 48gs, but I ended up preferring the manually lubed gaterons. Princesses had very pingy sound on keychron Q6 board. I am still looking for something than gateron browns.

@@MechKeyboards typing on the MMD Princess switches (60g) right now, they feel great! Imo the tactile bump is much more pronounced on them than the Outemu Pandas which i like more. They sound a lot more clacky and less plastic-y (for lack of a better term) compared to the Outemu Pandas which is great for me as well. It's also a plus that the factory lube on the MMD princess is better than the Outemu Pandas. Ofc there are still some switches that are still a little pingy, but generally the factory lube job is better on the MMD.
