DIY Tutorial: How to Reroot doll hair using rerooting TOOL!!!

Here is my very first tutorial and I really hope I'm easy to understand lol I had lots of fun doing it for you guys. Rerooting is time consuming but very fulfilling.

I used to use the wire method, but I no longer have the dexterity for it. I tried to work on a rehairing project last year and gave up. I've always been hesitant about using the reroot tool, but you explain it so well, I think I'll give it a try! Thank you!

You inspired me, I never thought this would be this easy, so I went and bought a rerooting tool on the website, and some hair strains, but I got the standard size and looking at your video for the second time I saw you bought the L strain, so I am afraid the ones I bought won't be enough for the Bratz dolls I want to reroot.

When you said you are lazy I felt that internally cuz I am the same way I technically have a rerooting tool now it's just literally a quart with a needle stuck into it I just need to get Saran hair I plan on rebooting my collector edition chang'e doll because I feel like being extra with her trying to give her long black Saran hair to her ankles

Quick tip as well U dont have to wrap twice, that's more of a preferance. Some think it helps keep it secure on the inside but in reality it doesnt :p

Maybe it would help if you decided you didn't want to double the length of the hair 🤔 I cut some long hair off some OMG dolls and to keep the length (should I reuse it) I have been considering not going half way up the hair but this technique may help secure the hair. Just what I was looking for!

I think it depends on what kind of hair you want your reborn to have. If you just want the thin babyhair, Ive seen ppl use mohair (not sure about spelling) and one of those wool needls tools that you use for making wool dolls etc. Cant remember what its called. I do know Myfroggystuffs did a video of her making a miniature of her dog with it.

You could, if it’s Saran hair it will hold the knot but if it’s nylon, you can barely make a knot cuz it’s the texture makes it open up right away, so if it’s nylon, put a little bit of crazy glue or some glue on the knot so it stays

Are you planning to reroot a doll that she plastic hair molded? Cuz if that’s the case, it won’t work. You have to find one with actual hair and then take out hair and reroot hair you like. To be honest, you can probably find a ken doll that already had brad Pitt hair and no need to reroot

The toll is from Restoredoll.com and it's only one size, when you buy it it comes with different size needles and the best to work with for me is 5" and 6"

Yeah, but you need to put glue gun glue on the end of the hair, thread the hair through the eye of the needle, then bring the needle through the head from the inside. There's a video on it. Just type in reroot without reroot tool and it should come up.
