Papa, trading players who have a dead cap penalty will still incur a dead cap penalty, thats why you have -40m of cap space in the first year, because derek carr had a 50m dead cap penalty and only 500k savings

Ok mmg i couldn’t tell if u knew this or not, but the reason u were negative cap is cuz u traded Carr and Demario because they have large cap hits which count as cap penalties when u trade them. Essentially their contracts were still counting against your cap after the season
