I second what the teacher said , I learned English and French on my own and I did exactly what’s being advised on this video, listening , reading, conversations with myself, more specifically shower conversations and shadowing ( listening to something and repeating it out loud ) language exchange apps , switching my phone to the target language and all of that good stuff, the awesomeness of learning languages is that you actually learn how to learn and the process becomes less and less tedious as you gain in experience. I’m lucky I’ve lived in the US 🇺🇸 for over 20 years so my English level went from beginner to advanced very quickly and without much effort, as far as French goes, it’s been three amusing years and by applying the techniques mentioned here my level has been gradually improving i went from just being able to say basic things to having full blown conversations with natives, read books, watch Netflix series. Bottom line: if you really want to make quick progress you need to create this sort of immersion like if you were living in the country where your target language is spoken. Edit: do not search for perfection, language learning is a never ending processes and there will always be new things to learn, let alone the fact languages are continuously evolving…

@@DaveSmith90559 yep. Sometimes it’s hard. Coz the languages of Asian countries like Chinese ‘n’ Japanese is as same as with its format of the sentences. These languages haven’t letters. They have characters. When writing characters we have to follow a stroke order. But learning French is easier than Chinese. Coz the sentence format of French is as same as English format. When learning a new language, we have to translate paragraphs into English or into the language which I learn. Translating a Chinese paragraph is easy into my native language. Because we are all in Asian countries and somehow our writing system is bit same . But I always try to translate a language paragraph into English. I love learning English.
