MMO Monday - Rift

oh dude, teamwork tuesday sounds sick. im not into mmos too much but hearing you guys talk about it makes me wanna play em. and it'd be cool to see what team based games you guys comment on. ("what's this?")

@earthfx Thank you!!! Yes, the background music is actually there but there's a lot of white noise from my computer (which I'll definitely turn off next time) so it's hard to hear. And we'll absolutely get a lot of good gameplay footage for next time :) Thanks again!

@CaesiumFarmer Yeah, I'd definitely agree with that analogy. I should have emphasized how much this feels like Dragon Age though, which is really cool. I just wish it had a little better story line (the opening cutscene made us laugh really hard) and it would actually be a good WoW alternative if you're bored!

@MrZdrastvuite That's a really good question! I think they're both very different. To be honest, I generally prefer a more action-based game, and DCUO delivers in that area really well. I also enjoy the DC comic universe, those characters and their stories. Rift has much more of a generic fantasy RPG feel to it when you play it, and while some people just plain prefer that, I'm a little sick of it :P DCUO is a nice break from the norm for me. So for me? DCUO :)

@Bllackguard666 Complaining about rifts in a game based on rifts is quite stupid. go do dungeons, go pvp or do rifts to get gear. I mean thats the point of most rpgs. fight to get better gear. No different from wow get the good gear stand around show it off then log off. If you hate that aspect of rpgs maybe try fighting or sports games.

Wow was unoriginal aswell;) ripped off alot from oldschool mmos like everquest;)
