MMORPG News: Pax Dei ACTUALLY Looks TERRIBLE

Too much crafting focus. Too much procedural world generation. Lacking fluid animations and a combat system. This team needs to stop focusing on world building and crafting and start focusing on animations and a real combat system. Nobody will play this game if it's just a crafting simulator. This is literally turning out to be less of an MMORPG than Valheim.
Built in UE5... we know what tools the devs have access to. Stop tunnel visioning or your game is DOA. Just my 2 cents...if you don't agree it doesn't matter we all have our own opinions... BUT we shall see if I am correct BECAUSE I COULD BE TOTALLY WRONG.
Maybe they launch with an amazing combat system and a large map with a great questing system and amazing animations for all the abilities and change the tight current animations for simple things like walking... I am old enough to say I have seen these games come and go more than anyone making content and until I see what I asked for my opinions won't change.

Havent looked into the game yet. I do think a rich crafting and building system is a big foundation for a good player economy. So wouldn't see that alone as a bad sign. However! People like to do different things in MMOs. Some will play for PvP content, some will play for PvE content like raids/dungeons, some play for crafting and trading. If only 1 of those 3 is promising, the game will be smaller and smaller and once it gets too small theres no trade, no pvp or raid groups either. So partially agree, partially disagree I guess.

First, thanks for posting more content. I know the channel is small and I watch all of your videos. I was skeptical about pax dei from the beginning because of the first video you posted months ago. I'm not totally against playing the game right now but if they continue to make the game a crafting simulator I don't think I'll be touching this one. Thanks for the informative update. I mean..have you ever played "Conan Exiles" or "RUST" or "Anyothersurvivalgame" ? whole game"s" about crafting and has been very successful on all platforms... I dont think this is the time to "Doom say" this early into dev time for the game. Not saying you cant be right but that's a pretty harsh analysis when we dont even have a release date for the game yet.

Played age of conan back in the day. Was a real mmorpg like pax dei claims they will be. Game is still played today and one of the biggest streamers covered it recently. This is being sold as an mmorpg not a Rust. And yeah I'm being a little rough on them this early but they are putting on the heavy makeup before the show starts soon and I want to see the wrinkles and fat. If the combat will suck just show us. As we have already seen too many times now they can say as many times as they want they will fix it but until I see it I say bs.

I could be wrong but did you not say you have not personally played it ? That was as much as i needed to hear right there. I played it and found it to be very fun and engaging and I for one applaud them for not making crafting and building the last thing added. You might want to choose your words better, especially in the title. You might end up with more than a couple hundred followers.

Calling something DOA thats in alpha phase is pretty silly. It might suck, it might not. We can only say for sure when its in full release.

In many cases I'd agree with you. But since they and everyone else is following the same damn game killing trends... It's hard not to expect another DOA release... Honestly I think they need to stop pandering to one audience or another, ignore the parents and Karen's of the world. And just make a thoroughly good game. No pay walls, no bogus claims for advertising, no selling it off to some shitty dev company... Like idk, this list goes on and on. But it's easy to see when devs just follow the same trends as the last few releases...
