I was in M&S a few days ago, the clothes in store were being advertised on a tv screen behind the check out desk and the colours were miles off the actual items. If you’d ordered an item having only seen it on screen, what you received would be nothing like it. I’m an old fashioned girl, I like to see an item, touch it. I may like the look of an item but if I don’t like the way it feels it’s a definite no.

Your wardrobe capsule ideas are so helpful. It keeps me focusing on pieces that can go the distance instead of chasing all the 'in style at the moment' pieces,. I tend to grab those and then they don't really go with what I already have. For over 60, the struggle is real. 🤦‍♀

I have watched post after post, you can't be faulted, doesn't matter the shape or age of the woman you are dressing, she always looks gorgeous once you have dressed her. I have been trimming, chopping and changing my wardrobe by following your 'rules' and I am really finding now, I open my wardrobe and think, "Oh, should I wear that or that".... instead of "oh, God!! What am I going to wear!?" Sorting with seasons colours, with main colours and pops of colours in one spot, so I can grab an item and see if it goes, or a different one is better. I'm enjoying clothes and make-up again (I had felt frumpy, but was dressing myself too old, I got to 60 and 'felt' old, so I dressed old... it did nothing for me!) Its great to feel good again. Well, this capsule wardrobe all from Amazon looks super! (I'm rather anti Amazon as they are appalling if you are a Seller (we sell on there, as well as elsewhere, but just have to look on Amazon as advertising) sadly they enable flagrant abuse by unethical purchasers (it's well reported by numereous sellers; so I was glad to hear you weren't working with them😂), but I can understand why so many people use them, both for convenience and breadth of choice). Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed the video - it's always a joy to see you!😘

This is such a great video! I'd love to see another one with some of the pieces that didn't arrive in time. I'd also love to see a guide on how to get started with a capsule wardrobe. My spring wardrobe is ok, but my winter one needs to be started from scratch thanks to old, outdated, threadbare, and no-longer-fitting clothes. Should I start with pants? Tops? Shoes? Choose colors before I shop and just get random pieces as I go? I'm sure others have the same question and it would be so great to see how to get started. Thanks for these videos! It wouldn’t be that helpful for you as it completely depends on your body shape, height and scale and there’s so many permutations of that that we’d need 20 volunteers in the studio at one time to show you the fit on each. The best thing is to have a 1:1 session where we’ll find you the right pair for you!

I buy a good deal of my clothes on Amazon, since I live in a remote location and they have it down as far as being able to deliver products. What I've found is that I read all the comments on products re fit, before ordering since it can be more reliable than what the brand posts as sizing. Having a good steamer also helps, because often items can have some pressed in wrinkles.

Id rather have a muffin top than the flossing experience of the bodysuit:) That is an interesting comment about the terracotta and skin tone...I have noticed with some neutral shades I cant see where the clothing ends and I begin and I adore the bronze colour. Hi Melissa..I have been doing yard work all day and decided to treat myself by watching you . The first time I ordered something from Amazon I said never again . I now pay attention to reviews and have pretty good luck. I ordered the Pretty Gardens lounge set like the blue one here . I ordered it to wear to spend the night with my husband in the hospital. I was pleasantly surprised..next time I will wear a white or tan tank under. Melissa, you found some beautiful clothes, especially the very well priced blouses..love the white ones. I have learned so so much from you. I am like you…I have to either wear a longer dress or a shorter one. Everything else is spot on. I know everyone on here always says you could put on a brown paper bag and style it and you would look gorgeous as usual. I buy Shapermint ..that was another one that they advertised and promised a miracle. I have to say the longer line panty type holds you in but are not uncomfortable. You did a beautiful job as usual. I went with my husband to pt today and he said don’t you look fancy..no actually had joggers, sweater but put a tank to break it up and some dupes for Golden Goose tennis shoes. You have taught us well . Thank you..will see after I pay all these incoming hospital and doctor bills if I can order some of those beautiful blouses. Oh love the booby remarks as I am a d… want to go back to a c like I was years and years ago😂😂😂 ❤❤❤❤

Melissa I’ve been watching your videos for about a year. I love all of your tips, they have really helped to elevated my style. Is it possible for you to do a video of a summer capsule for us people who live in very hot weather. Where I live, it gets to be between 90 and 120 every day during the summer. I used to be a brunette but allowed my natural grey/silver hair to come through during the first lockdown and I love it. I've found that a lot of colours I used to wear don't suit me anymore and I am now wearing much stronger brighter colours which give my face a bit of a boost. It's a tricky one isn't it.

I’d need to know a lot more - your shape, your height, your dress size. Basically a chunky cardigan can make you look a lot bigger unless you’re taller or, you wear them with very little underneath. If you’re tall and slim they look fantastic but if you’re any other height or shape then they need to be styled with care and it’s usually about the other items you style them with rather than the cardigan itself.

@MM Personal Styling Thanks for you reply. It was more of a video recommendation. There are lots of shorts on youtube that target specific items like chunky knits, but they don't go into enough detail. I'm 5.3, a size 12-14 and an hourglass shape, if that helps.
