Mn 99s stock electronics have died😫 Here's how to upgrade Mn D90 electronics.

Unlike my mn99 which has over 20 miles clocked up on the trail with stock electronics installed, my nephew's mn99s hasn't been so lucky.
I'd say it only done 5miles on the trail before malfunctioning.
I guess I've been lucky with mine.
Time for an upgrade!

Hello, Can you help me? 😊 My mn99s stock receiver was burned and has a code of YX-2.4G-150R-V. I bought online the same receiver with a code of YX-2.4G-150R-V1 it has an addition of 1 after the V. Will the stock transmitter work with my new receiver? I asked the seller and he said it will work. He even asked his supplier and they said that it is now the newest version (the one with V1) the factory produces and it will just work fine but I still find it skeptical if it will truly work because the code isn't same. I am worried if the stock transmitter will not pair to my new board I ordered.

How does the upgrade affect the lighting system ?

Lights don't work, they have a different connection 😔

@@THYC . Yeah..the LED is controlled from stock all-in-one ESC/Receiver board. Changing the Transmitter/Receiver, you do away the feature of the lights. but maybe you can hook up the led wire to the new receiver channel data pin or to a lower voltage power. There where 6 pin wire connector (on the board), each wire connects to different led's. Mine, starts with Red/Black/Green /Yellow/Blue/White. I think white is ground. Have tried testing the wire found the following wire coding. RED is YELLOW LED Turn Signal PASSENGER Side BLK is YELLOW LED Turn Signal DRIVER Side GREEN is RED LED STOP LIGHT YELLOW is WHITE LED FRONT HEAD LIGHTS BLUE is also WHITE LED REVERSE LIGHT Although you will loose the light animation.

It'll still work just as long! The 20amp esc is perfect for the 260 motor, the mn99s has metal axle and pinion gears so they wont get chewed up.

With these upgrades, on paper it should be waterproof, esc and receiver are nicely wrapped up in rubber glove fingers, cable tied then I fill the opening with vaseline. Im a trailer so I try to find a route around the deeper parts 😂

I haven't found a way yet, I just removed them all. You can buy separate light kits that can be controlled by your receiver.

Remove the switch completely and join the wires, it turns on when battery is connected.😊

Do you use capasitor for the motor ?

I left the stock one on there yes, but you can run a 20amp without one the capacitor is for the stock board.

To change the frequency would require changing the transmitter/receiver. What's wrong with the current setup?
