It's a 95% faithful model of a 2012-2016 Defender 90. It is basically a scale model that is radio control.

Thanks for the tips! I have the full top with metal window mesh so I needed more support. I only used the pen springs in the back and barely half just enough to keep it level. The front has better travel without!

@@RCModSquad I think your correct many items here in Canada are regulated or restricted. I believe lead is one of them.

@@Van_City you should see the regulations in California. They have warnings on everything. Even my RC cars have a warning ⚠️ label 🏷 “this item contains chemicals known to the state of California that may cause cancer.” It’s crazy how much ink and time is used to print that. Almost anything I buy anymore has that. I think even the new toaster we just bought had it. Have a great day my friend and be safe out there!

Good morning, I used the magnetic tape/glue to the tires. about 56 grams per tire..... roll of tape was about 3 dollars

Just picked up one of these, great budget friendly mods 👍🏻 Any ideas for the steering? I put my wheels straight using the controller dial, then one turn of the truck and there out again? Very frustrating

@@Van_City it’s the MN99s I’ve tried adjusting lots of things, just every time I steer after centering, the wheels are not straight, then I re centre and same again. Still a great budget crawler, loads of fun, with a pinch of frustration 😂

@@adamcumbers232 if you have access to a 3d printer you can print a mount to relocate the steering servo to the top of the axle

At the time of this video I did keep the 260 motor and has been great. I have since upgraded to a 370 mainly to test a new esc I had installed. It seems like the extra spring takes away the suspension travel. Is that just a preference?

If the spring is too long you will lose some suspension travel. I find 1/2 the spring length works decent without losing travel and preventing sag.

I just got the MN99S and it won't even pull it's own weight up a hill if it doesn't tumble first. When it gets to a tough spot, the lights start blinking and the battery cuts out like it's too much amperage or something. Are they really that weak out of the box or did I get a lemon?

It sounds like your’s either has a bad battery or the electronics are faulty. It should definitely be more capable than what you are describing.

What is the difference between x6 and x6f etc in the transmitter options?

X6 is the transmitter x6f is the receiver. X6fg would be a receiver with built in gyro

I haven’t had any issues with mine, I think you’ll be fine without drilling a new hole.
