Beautiful! Now I'm thinking about putting a brushless in the stock gearbox. We'll see how it goes...

Just got back from a convenient trail right off the freeway and the run time is ridiculous on this now! The weight down low helps it to stick better and not be to top heavy. Running video is up! Check it out!

It's a 25a castle creations ESC. It's an older one I have had for almost a decade!

Can a normal setup (brush 370 motor) and standard receiver controller be ran by a LIPO battery ? Thx. It’s wonderful how batteries slip nice into the body. Well done.
@RunThatRC2 жыл бұрын
Im actually not sure. Some have ran 2s lipos without issues. Some have had the esc/receiver start acting up while running 2s. So I can't confidently recommend it.

Have you got a video on how to build the axels correctly i spent ages building mine, took it on the slope amd the gears was slipping
@RunThatRC3 жыл бұрын
dont know why I didnt see this comment. Usually blue loctite is what helps them stay on. After you assemble with loctite give it a day to dry before you go run it.

@RunThatRC3 жыл бұрын
they do not make these lipos anymore. They are discontinued. most 2s up to1500mah li ions and lipos will fit this truck.

Hey are can you (me) buy a mounting bracket for the 370 motor and 2 speed transmission?
@RunThatRC4 жыл бұрын
it is really easy to just make one. It also mounts in stock mn model location.

I have just brought a MN90 for my son after finding out spares were available but unfortunately I didn't realise the MN99 which I may purchase for myself, which would you recommend to get as I will upgrade mine and my son's
@RunThatRC3 жыл бұрын
the mn d90 and mn99 are similar chassis wise and are going to need the same upgrades so choose what style you like and start upgrades to gain performance. I like going the WPL 2 speed and metal cvd driveshafts route because its good for slow crawls and can also keep up with walking pace. Also esc and receiver upgrades are needed. Have fun with those rigs!

For your brushless motor, what size pinion do you use?
@RunThatRC5 жыл бұрын
A 9 tooth is the standard but I used a 10t pinion. It has enough room to still mesh well.

Why ur mn 90 looks like high

It is lifted at the axle truss. My final mods video shows what I did.

did a little opposite here for using the Fayee 6 spoke rims/tires are slightly shorter, wider, and give 3/8" to 7/16" more total width. fronts got 2 full layers (16 wraps) 2 mm solder helps climbing without back flipping if you sneeze. still stock motor but able to do 45 degree incline board is pretty good for how top/rear heavy MN-D90 kinda IS lol. with the little extra width it doesn't want to side tip until 38-40 degrees (moving), is pretty good too considering. the Fayee tires DO soften up a bit with a day bagged wet in WD-40, they also swell to be 1/8" taller, so I sliced masking tape into the tire slots before sticking with black silicone. grabs rims good enough, can peel tires loose when needed too.
