my dog does all of this and I never taught him anything. He’s 1 year old and I swear the first time I tried to walk with him he would just follow me and wouldn’t try to walk in front of me, and every time I stopped walking he would sit, but I think it’s just because he’s really really lazy. He’s walking off-lead now. A big problem tho is that when some street dogs try to attack him he gets all crazy and starts pulling so much that is almost impossible to hold him back.

It is very common to crate (cage) dogs when they are in training. I don't crate my dogs, but many people do. I'm not saying that it is bad or good, it is just a matter of choice. Crating is a way to make sure that when you are not at home you can make sure your dog is in a quite, calm area and not tearing up the house. Some people will crate their dogs at night when they go to sleep for the same exact reason. I've had only one dog that I've ever had to crate. It was a Cocker Spaniel that every time we left the house he would tear it up and pee on every thing. I was living with my parents at the time, it was their dog and they didn't want to crate them. But I told them it would be better to crate him than to come home and have to punish him for tearing up the house. He eventually grew out of his destructive phase - by removing the object of his obsession...i.e. stuff to tear up....he forgot about it, we were able to allow him to stay out of his cage when we left the house. Funny thing was, he still like to go into his crate. Many times during the day you could look in his wire crate and he would be laying in it, paws hanging out the front door of it, fast asleep. They start to think of it as a safe, secure place, like a den - as a dog would have in the wild

Why is the dog caged in there? Im not Expert or anything but i kinda think the cage was small

Neuman Slave Academy!! It isn't a K-9, you don't have to be this serious. While walking Juno doesn't enjoy a single moment because he always has to watch his ''master'' for any command. You have to be serious with serious-big dogs like K-9 but a cocker spaniel one of cleverest and easiest dogs to train. I got mine while she was 8 months old and she wasn't listening a single command like ''sit''. She was crying, trying to run all time. She is now 3 years old and listening my commands while enjoying her time. Don't send your dogs any academy-trainer if you want a true companion not a mindless slave...

I have a fully trained German Shepherd protection dog and a cocker spaniel. Both need to be watching me and doing as I say. It is not being a mindless slave, it it being obedience. They are dogs, not people.
