Question: Is the value of the ore they plan to mine worth more than the cost of building the bridge?

mattcintosh2 value of he ore is private and contract was negotiated decades before as the video states so it’s somewhat irrelevant. The question is are the value of jobs worth the cost of the bridge, jobs to do such, jobs created from the interchange, etc. This is good for Virginia and surrounding areas

mattcintosh2 Another example of metro taxpayers subsidizing rural MN. One of many hundreds of millions of $. The only thing great about greater MN is the great amount of metro taxpayer money they receive.

Now that this is done, and I've driven through and over the new alignment, I can say that the new alignment is definitely worth the drive. The bridge is a little unnerving the first time though. The new pavement is nice. The old alignment was definitely not maintained very well and rather steep.

God when they said they were making this I was sooo scared! My imagination took over and I felt like they would make a suspension bridge 😂
