It was January 31, 2017 in Foley, Minnesota. Lindsay Cardinal was on her way home from picking up her children at daycare when her life suddenly ended.
Her husband Matt, now a widower at age 33, is left to raise their three young children on his own. Sober driving matters!

The man who killed her, Kevin Couch, is dead. But that really does not matter. What matters is the father of these 3 children is continuing to raise them to the best of his ability(which appears to be enormous). May God continue to shine His love upon him and his children and help him raise his children to remember and love their mother.

He died of his injuries, after the crash. He was driving a stolen vehicle. The article I read stated he may have been under the influence of drugs as well. And his license had been revoked once.

And it gets worse with this guy.... "Couch’s record shows convictions for burglary, fleeing a police officer, drug possession, assault, domestic assault, domestic abuse, violating a no-contact order and two driving-while-intoxicated charges, according to court records."

I'm a former drunk driver and.by the grace of God I never.ever was involved in an accident. I never drank and drove again. I got caught driving with two children in the car and it really shook me to realise I could have killed them or some innocent people on the road. To this day I no longer drink and hate driving.

Please don't drink alcohol ever again I am proud you quit but please don't start up again both my parents drink alcohol and get physically and verbally abusive so half the time me and my sister stay in are rooms we only go out to get food or go to the restroom cause we get scared of are parents and seeing them passed out on the couch or the kitchen table and my dad doesn't drink and drive he walks to places cause we only have one car but my mom does and after we got old enough to realize are mom was drinking and driving we said we walked to school or are friends or whatever we went and there has been a few times me and my sister have had to call the paramedics on are mom or dad cause they where drunk and cracked there head open in the shower that was my dad and my mom fell down the stairs drunk and broke her foot and cracked the back of her head open and it has been bad where me and my sister have ran away from the house so please don't drink alcohol again

My aunt was killed by a driver who ran a stop sign. He was sober. There was no alcohol or drugs in his system. Should I be mad at all sober drivers?

I know this girl. I knew the guy who hit her. He's dead now. She came to my apartment because her father in law was going to buy the apartment complex. And he bought it. I feel for you Mr. Cardinal. I'm almost ashamed to say I've driven intoxicated 35 years ago and I caused an accident. I was horrified. I knew I shouldn't of driven but sadly, I did and I'm doing everything in my power to spread the word of drunk driving. Thankfully no one was injured but this is a second chance. Everyday is a new second chance. I hated myself for a long time. Now, I just hate the act, the horrible decision I made. Now, throw texting into the mix, and it becomes not why but when. I don't drive anymore because it's cheaper and easier to take mass transit because my Brooklyn/N.Y. neighborhood is dripping with subways and buses, like one on every corner. It's faster and safer.
