I do agree, to an extent, on salary caps. When workers get minimum wage and crappy working conditions while the CEO gets 30 million and a private jet, this breeds resentment, no matter the individual worker's political orientation. I think one of the reasons this wide spread resentment has not resulted in a more equitable redistribution of income is because so many workers in the USA have been brain washed into believing that any attempt to address the problem is "socialism" As to forcing people who are either unwilling or unable to work to live in barracks, that is a hideous idea. Only people who are criminally insane should be forced into these places. I propose giving people who are mostly self sufficient, but not great workers, a basic income and designating certain neighborhoods for them where rents are capped and they can live in individual or family units. They should otherwise be free to travel and even live in other areas if they can behave themselves.

Unfortunately, the media distorts the truth. The percentage of executives like you describe is MINISCULE. Most executives work long hours (without overtime) make a NET amount (because of our super-"progressive" tax system that they end up far from living a lush lifestyle. And they are a pool of people that is smarter, with better emotional intelligence, more knowledgeable, and harder working than the pool of worker bees. Don't let the wildly leftist-biased media , ahem, trump the truth.

@MartyNemko1 Thanks for your response. I agree. The average CEO of a moderately large corporation most like is a couple standard deviations in IQ above their rank and file employees. 4:03 They are also very high in consciousness
