Well done 👏🏻 Every serious magician should own all of Juan’s books. 5 Points, The Magic Way, Sonata, Magic Rainbow, and Verbal Magic in addition to Mnemonica. If you combine that with what Dani Daortiz is teaching right now on instant download, you will have armed yourself with much of why Spanish card magicians give Penn & Teller such terror. Their ideas and philosophies are incredible, devastatingly fooling, and incredibly constructed. The ingenuity is next level. Juan Tamariz is the greatest card magician of all time IMO (though Dani is approaching surpassing his teacher if he hasn’t already). The fact that they’re willing to share their secrets isn’t something anyone serious about art of magic should wait on. Get the material. It’ll pay for itself before you know it if you’re willing to put in the practice.

Oh, I thought you were using mnemonica!
@joshwilliams35223 күн бұрын
Ha, yeah, just a coincidence. I'm using the Redford stack in this video. I used Mnemonica for a couple years, but switched over once I realized the power of Redford.

@@joshwilliams3522 That's cool! I'm a bit of a beginner when it comes to memdeck stuff, but I know mnemonica memorised. What does the redford stack have that made you switch over to that one?
@thomas.m65932 ай бұрын
Hi, these are very good effects. I just started learning Mnemonica a few days ago. I can almost recite the cards in order, but I can't yet tell which card corresponds to which number, and vice versa. How long did it take you to master it completely?
@joshwilliams35222 ай бұрын
I used Mnemonica for the first 2 years of my memorized deck work. If you dedicate 30-60 minutes a day on it, I believe you will find yourself becoming relatively proficient in 7-10 days. I would find myself converting every number I saw throughout my day to the card at the number. Road signs, menus, page numbers, everything. Then, I would either go through a shuffled deck turning over cards, or if I didn't have a deck, I would go through new deck order in my head, converting each card to it's position.

How do you know what card they cut to in the 3rd trick? If it's a random spectator cutting wherever they want? Do you have the deck memorizes so well that you can just see how many cards are in each of the cuts? I understand you have the order memorized but I can't understand how you would be able to count the exact number of cards unless they were marked cards. Tha nks.
@joshwilliams352220 күн бұрын
If you study the cutting sequence you will see that the bottom and top cards after the cuts were the cards above and below the selections. A quick glimpse and you're home free. Also, since you are in reversed memstack, once you know the selection, you only need to name its position in your memorized stack. This will automatically be its location in the deck. It sounds like real magic, doesn't it? 🤜🤛
