I had to move from my family to move into a host family with a farmer It was a very large dairy farm with 300 dairy cows Cultivate wheat barley and oats and corn In addition to making hay and collecting straw At the time I was 9-10 years old I loved this foster family who adopted me It was in the 1980s that I was placed in foster care with this farmer I don't know if the translation is correct I use google translate to speak in English If you ever come across my message, tell me if the translation is correct I'm from Quebec so I don't necessarily speak English

From my knowledge of tanks (compliments to The Chieftain here on KZbin): The point of that road wheel you removed is to spread the pressure from the track into the ground. It's similar to how tires on a car or semi spread the load out on the ground, except that with a track you get a wider 'strip' of pressure than a tire would give. By not driving with that one road wheel you are putting more load on the remaining wheels in that one track unit. There's also some forces in new directions (namely, a force pulling in, from the outer front/back edges to the center of the track unit that wasn't as strong with the additional road wheel there). Whether or not JD gave enough margin / safety factor to the remaining wheels to last like that, and for how long, is known only to the engineers. Might be fine, might remove 5% life per year, might break in 1 day. No way to know without the schematics and materials. On a tank, it's no biggie to be missing a road wheel. But vehicles designed to be shot are built to a different standard than vehicles designed to enslave their owners.

Given that idler bearing failure, you should probably inspect the rest during the offseason. Those are the weak points for track systems, and if you lost one the odds are pretty good there are more not too far behind.

Even the little things such as the wheel bearing, had you had problems with the planter, getting it set up, the late start, melted any angst you might have had to a more manageable level. Here's good thoughts that you will have blessed year, any problems will be like the wheel bearing, just a little bump in the road, and just as quickly dealt with.

Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Busy busy time. Totally agree with you Zach on that wheel with the bad bearings on the planter. If you can plant without it, have at it. Time to get seed in the ground before the rain. Sometimes things are not perfect but you can plant so have at it I say. Fix the wheel bearing when you can. The new app you have where the tractor turns itself is unbelievable. Wow. Is that neat or what. Now I am going to say something and please do not think I am crazy. But watching you show this to us and me thinking back to our years long ago of planting, there is such a remarkable difference, I started getting wet eyes thinking of all of our long long long hours of manual labor running the tractor and planter. What a difference. I could not be happier for the farmer now that has this equipment. You can plant much more seeds much more faster than we ever dreamed of. Technology is the modern day key to move faster with what needs to be done planting. My compliments to you Zach and dad for having this technology. I can remember many years ago we upgraded to a six row planter and we thought we were hot stuff. This was still doing all the driving and running the planter arm so we knew where to go. Oh my compared to this modern technology. So interesting. Now you have a gadget on the rock picker to take you to the rocks. Amazing. Wish I was farming again. Oh my. Thanks for taking the time to show us this technology. I will dry my eyes and tell my family that has passed even though we did not have this technology we still did alright. But sure would like to try this new stuff. Thanks for everything Zach and dad. Totally enjoyed it. Thanks. The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.

Very interesting new receivers, they are accurate down to 2.5cm, that makes more sense. And you're only looking for horizontal rather than both H & Z, which Z is harder to acheive. Also see its getting timing corrections from its own satellites. Plenty accuarte for your application. Cool stuff I'm a support tech & trainer for another GPS machine control/ SIte Positioning System manufacturer. They also are into agriculture, which i know nothing about that side of the business.
