So we had a floor scrubber like that at a shop I worked at and it was an absolute must have. When a tech had to lay down on the concrete floor and then jump back into a customers vehicle you don’t want to have a dirty floor for them to transfer that dirt and grease into a nice vehicle.
@schafn8 ай бұрын
I have a solution to the dirt in the shop issue. Just add about 4 inches of asphalt to the yard and your driveway. Also, I feel your pain with the dust on the shop floor. I can sweep my floor with the best broom out there but when I lay on the floor to change oil or something my back still gets covered with dust. That little scrubber thing looks like the answer. And one other thing: The culvert you were looking at is most likely a segmented concrete culvert. This means the entire culvert under the road is made up of probably 6 foot segments joined together. These culverts last forever but they have a tendency to get separations in the joints. Frost and the loading/unloading of the road make everything move and the segments move apart. That's when you start to see the voids on the shoulder and ditch since it seems like the end segments like to move the most. Whoever owns the road will have to dig up the culvert, reset the segments (and they could pin them together) and then backfill and regrade the road. That looks like a fairly shallow pipe so it wouldn't take much time to fix the problem.

Good to hear Anna is feeling better. As I said in your last video my GSD Ally just the week earlier went through the same ordeal. But good antibiotics and a great vet she was on the mend and acting her fool self in about 3 days. Don't you just hate it when one of your puppers gets hurt. Glad she's doing better.
@kevinhitchcock70628 ай бұрын
You need to seal the concrete. I used to work on a warehouse and the dust was terrible. I used to put a cheap concrete sealer in the floor about every 6 months did help. The company found a place that will come in and prep the floor then put sealer on it. I left 4 years after that and never had any more problems. Check for concrete finishers in your area they may be able to help

Zach, the front end of that scrubber has wings on it that are folded in. They need to be unfolded. You are not scrubbing an area as wide as the squeegee / vacuum, therefore you are scaping up dry dirt on the tips of the squeegee as seen in the video. Plus, it is going to take you longer as you are not scrubbing as wide an area as you can. Thanks for all the cool videos. Jeff

I’m a dirt guy and I had the same issue in my shop and one thing that helped is putting down crushed asphalt in front of the shop so the tires and tracks kinda of clean out. Put it down, water (maybe a little red dye fuel) and compact it. It’ll help with cleaning your tires and tracks out tracking less crap in on the floor, therefor slowing down the dust in the shop.

This comes from a guy who work for the New Hampshire Department of Transportation. And by just looking at the placement of the holes. If left alone you could lose a truck or tractor. And content or not that’s not a good day. Safety wise that’s is. Keep it up Zach and everyone on the farm love the content

Going on four weeks of on and off rain here in central Missouri. Some of those that planted early are going to have to re-plant. A lot of fields start to flood out, then it stops raining for a couple days and then the fields get flooded again. I wasted my time and fuel turning the soil, but lucky that I did not plant anything. Some neighbors are saying if it continues much longer, they may just call it a wash and collect the insurance.
