I have to say, the concept, arrangement, physically working all of this out, and finally, the actual rehearsals for this sketch must have included the consumption of copious amounts of beer.
You can't have successful band rehearsals without beer

The long face contributes to the act. The song is Paul Anka's "I'm Just A Lonely Boy" He is extremely talented and this is an exceptionally good and unique act.

This is one of the best acts I know. It has everything. Tension, humor, great acting, exquisite musical talents and wow moment. The guy bringing the chair in the beginning steals the show, but later the tables turn and doing the same next time feels much less majestic. The focus is somewhere else. I just love this scene and I hope to once see them IRL

Imagine someone walking in on a rehearsal for this . . .
@mediagirl4 жыл бұрын
Imagine where they got that idea... "You look so bored, c'mon pull yourself together!" "I am so bored, I could play "lonely boy" with my feet and my hands on reverse on 4 instruments and STILL be bored!" "You couldn't!" "Oh yeah?! ...."

I love this piece. I like a man who can multi-task. Anyone else see Orlando Bloom when they look at Roman?
@kgoerbig13 жыл бұрын
I can't stop watching this. I wonder how much practice it took him to coordinate all that. Thinking of the concentration it took to get the timing, slide positions, and fingerings down for four instruments at once gives me a headache!

Holy Wienerschnitzel, Leonhard Paul is the Austrian answer to John Cleese channeling Jacques Tati. Tall, long legs, with extraordinary agility and, most of all, a parody of stuffy, conceited upper class, all topped with a kind of Mr. Hulot cluelessness.. I especially admire the group's skill at not hurrying the joke as many present-day comedians do, talk fast, zoom to the punch line. Kudos!

I return to this and enjoy the aplomb of surprises. Few things in life are well done but this is well done. It qualifies as art. Art is fresh each time you see it. Art is timeless and this is timeless. A century from now it will be fresh to those who view it.
