Well done to Ireland. Great game and Ireland controlled it. No excuses for AB's. The better team on the day won. Cheers from a Kiwi. Now for the World Cup...

Eddie is brilliantly insightful. Premier analyst in Ireland or Britain. & in fairness he called Ireland to win the game the previous Monday.

It would be a bit of a shocker if Sexton doesn't get player of the year, and Schmitt coach of the year and has to be Ireland team of the year.

Congratulations to Ireland. NZ were outplayed and out coached. The comments by Ian Foster pre game about Bundy were disappointing and it is unwarranted to disrespect another player and team. He would have been better advised working on scenarios and strategies for his own team.

Yellow card required then, if not then 3 mins later when same player killed ball again in red zone
@porcupineinapettingzoo6 жыл бұрын
Thought the easiest yellow to give was Kearney, so if an all black was carded you know it would have been evened up in the second half, so I'm glad there were no cards!
@justindavitt48416 жыл бұрын
Was the clearest yellow card you could give, I see people sayin Kearney should have been carded but he had his eyes on the ball the whole time , definite penalty but no card. Imo

@@justindavitt4841 Another ref could have given Kearney a straight red for that. It makes me wonder how Nigel Owens would have adjudicated any of the instances mentioned here.

O'Mahony breaks his body to save tries in that game and all BOD can say about him is that he was illegal 😅

Don't forget even with the All Blacks 2015 team, Ireland threw away 2 games against New Zealand in 2012 in New Zealand and 2013 in Dublin against that group of All Blacks. A lot of the players from that group scraped a 2011 world cup win against France. These games could very easily could have gone the other way. The New Zealand team right now is just as good as the team of 2015 if not better, Ireland has just improved even more.

@@scotthamilton6062 that test hardly counted it was full of ireland 2nd and 3rd string. Paddy wallace in particular in the centre. He was there purely due to injuries. Wouldnt even be considered a real inrernational player. I think you you know its the Dan Carter great escape with the dodgy drop goal that i am referring to.

Barnes is not the AB’s favorite ref by any means! Most hated if anything. I was surprised he didn’t yellow card Kearney as he didn’t even jump for the ‘contest’. He just seemed to want the game to flow this time (unusual) so kept cards in pocket and reffed well there
@mazz93286 жыл бұрын
Please could someone seriously lobby for a referees' review committee. Has anyone ever challenged "Barnsey" as I understood from the match refereeing team's way of calling him? I really do not understand how he could have allowed those penalties to continue. Great great compliments to the Irish team for not allowing this to undermine their tenacity and gameplan. such character...was "Barnsey" hauled over even 1 coal for this really shamful management of a wonderful game?
@owyn47996 жыл бұрын
He let the game flow, if you want a yellow for a NZ player then kearney would have seen yellow aswell which is worse for us than New Zealand losing Whitelock

Wow! Not one word about the Kearney challenge in the air. I'm sure we have all seen reds given for less that. How very balanced and objective these "analysts" are. We would all still be reeling from the aftershock if the jerseys were reversed.

Red card! You're out of your mind, Rob had his eyes on the ball the whole Time, even a yellow would have been harsh.

Ireland as usual are getting carried away. This game really meant nothing when it all boils down. If Ireland make the semis in the world cup ill be impressed. AB's will be back and they have been on top for decades. Ireland still need to prove themselves
@jakmunro6 жыл бұрын
Ireland have just won a Grand Slam in an even year (facing England in Twickenham and France in Paris ), won a Series away to Australia and have just beaten a locked and loaded ABs team for the second time in 2 years. Steve Hansen now reckons Ireland are favourites for the WC - Joe Schmidt correctly dismissed that talk. Yet your opinion is that Ireland still need to prove themselves and are getting carried away? That's hard to reconcile with the facts.
@dreday777646 жыл бұрын
As an Abs fan all I can say is well done to this Irish side. I’m so glad the northern hemisphere teams in general are improving and making the game more exciting. It’s good for our sport and also keeps the ABs on their toes now as the Wallabies fallen behind the eight ball

Surely you have to understand that Ireland are only really arriving at the big table now and looking there here to stay. Even when we won the grand slam in 09 which was the first since the 1960. I feel like Ireland are finally arriving at the big table and are here to stay because they have won those big games when the pressure is on now if they do do a job at the world cup remains to be seen but we can only find out when the time comes
