Hello gentlemen, I have only been bowling for 6 months. My average has gone from 79, to 98, to 113, 126, and now I seem stuck around 130-139. I bought most of my balls from a thrift store. They are very old ones: 1) 16lb (dark green) Hammer Fab. I believe its urethane. 2) 15lb (golden) Hammer Black Widow. 3) 15lb (blue/green/yellow) Ebonite Mission X. And I bought new: 1) 15lb (black/gold) Ebonite Destiny. A low level hybrid. 2) 15lb Brunswick T-Zone. A lowest level urethane. The two new ones are the only ones that I truly know what they are. I have been watching and learning from your videos and am a subscriber. I am very excited because I have learned to hook a few of my balls, but believe I am limited. I realize that I don't have a a full complementary arsenal and want to build it up and include ones that allow mid range hook and ones that allow deeper hook. I also understand the need for balls at each level for no to low oil, intermediate oil, and mid to heavy oil levels. I have a 6 bagger, two 2 baggers, and one single balls bag. Can you help me and send me, by email or text, your suggestions for building my arsenal? I could be wrong, but I believe it's time to get rid of my older balls. What do you think? Should I hold on to them? Or will the newer one cover what they do? Pastor Maurice Maurice_Cornwell2000@yahoo.com (202)531-1763

Brandon could hook an ice sculpture. I would prefer to see a wimpy low rev/low ball speed player, like I am, throw the Results Solid. Then we would know how much hook it is really creating.

Just punched up both balls. Pandemonium is very strong off the spot, Results Solid is drilled 45x4x70....reads the mids extremely well and is very continuous.

Hi I'm looking to replace my old No Rules. It doesn't have a JoPo in it and its already been redrilled so im not bothering with it. I'm a rev dominant low tilt player. What layout would you recommend for the results solid? Great video btw Mikey.
@BowlingScience
@BowlingScience 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Are you a one hander that uses thumb? If so, something like 60 x 3.75 x 25 will allow you to use the surface and get left while keeping the core tipped to combat your lower tilt. I also might suggest the short pin layout... it's my favorite as 500+ rpm bowler!

These balls looked really good. I haven’t bowled in many years, mostly due to a couple of back surgeries. I wanna get back into it but I need to know what current ball would best replace my morich weapon of mass bias I’ve been using forever. Wasn’t great on synthetic lanes sadly. Any suggestions anyone?
@BowlingScience
@BowlingScience 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Greg! The Weapon of Mass Bias had undrilled core specs of .026 Int Diff and .044 Tot Diff and was an additive solid coverstock with particle. That looks really close to the undrilled specs of the Results Solid, which has a textured solid cover (the modern version of older particle covers, but stronger for modern lanes). The only thing is that you would want to make sure you use a layout based on your PAP, as different layouts can result in vastly different motion reaction with the Results core. I would recommend getting a benchmark symmetrical ball like the Bonus Solid as a first ball and drilling it with the pin in a general pinup location 1 inch above and to the right of the ring finger. You and your PSO can then find your PAP and Axis Tilt, which will allow us to create the appropriate layout for something strong and assymetric like your old WMB, with something like a Results Solid. I hope this helps! Let us know how it works out if you choose to go this route!

I currently have my Results setup with 70X5X25, would this be a good setup for the Solid, considering I am a low Rev (10-12: 200-250rpm) Low tilt 3-7 left hander?
@BowlingScience
@BowlingScience 3 жыл бұрын
5 inch pin is not recommended for low tilt players, actually 5" doesn't appear anywhere in the recommended layouts. Do the same layout with a 3.75 or 4 inch pin. That should work great for this ball

The original Virtual Gravity was pretty violent, as was the Vertigo (both from Storm, Vertigo being my favorite ball ever). Storm is releasing another ball that they say is the strongest ball they've ever made, so we'll see how this all plays out. EDIT: Proton PhysiX is what I'm talking about.

I don't understand why it's so necessary to put the second color in the cover stock of balls. I want to see the finger and thumb holes, as the ball is rolling down the lane. Especially with this Results, that blue/green detracts from being able to follow the holes, to know where the different friction levels are on the lane.

It not even close... the TS cover is so far ahead of anything Korean made as far as chemical friction, and the results uses the only assym core that is designed to be fully effective at a wide range of layouts, without using a balance hole. Radical is 10 years ahead of the game with this one...

I would take it to your local pro shop and ask to have it sanded to 1000 grit. You can also sand it yourself by hand. I recommend the CtD TruCut pads. It’s hard to tell if it the drilling layout is correct for you in comments, but surface is inexpensive to change and easy to adjust. I would start there.
