I know Mo couldn't include every "roctogenarian" so I will add 3 pop icons. Tom Jones is still recording and touring at 84 and his voice is unchanged ! Johnny Mathis is still on the road at 89, touring with a full orchestra. Petula Clark is 91. She recently completed a 2 and a half year run in the West End revival of Mary Poppins as the Bird Woman. She received an Olivier nomination for her performance and at 90 was doing 8 shows a week. I was fortunate enough to see Petula in Mary Poppins on her 90th birthday. There was a much deserved on stage tribute at the curtain calls. I have also seen Tom and Johnny within the last 2 years. Roctogenarians !!

@@TheJustineCredible I saw her cabaret show in SF back in 2000. After the show, she was signing my copy of her CD. I said, "When you came out on the dais, I thought you were going to sing "The Punctuation Song" from _The Electric Company_ ." So she sang the first bar of the song to me right there.

Attitude is everything! I am working full time at age 72 and am in the process of launching a website for a cap that I am selling -- it is so exciting! I am in great health although Tuesday I am going into a Pancreatic Center to check on an embedded nodule -- it was my decision to make the appointment because that is nothing to ignore. I am sure I am fine no symptoms but it is important to check. If there is something you haven't finished or you want to do --- now is the time -- do it!

Wonderful story, I'm 60 and feel like I'm 16, age is all in the mind and the attitude, you are as young as you feel. I shun negativity, i focus on the good things in life, i cut off toxic people and relationships, and have only a few close friends that i have much in common with. Live Life Freely, live your best life everyday, do what you enjoy and what makes you happy and puts a smile on your face. Stay active and fit, eat right, keep your mind sharp and occupied, mental acuity is important. It's okay to be selfish on occasion, and to spoil yourself. With any luck, I plan to live to be 100+ like Norman Lear... :-) New Orleans

I have been saying for years that I admire the members of the Rolling Stones for still doing what they love, and that I deeply appreciate that they are demonstrating that aging does not have to look like what society has told us. But after a week in which I was aware of some signs of aging in myself and feeling bummed out about it, this piece from Mo Rocca was an elixir. *Thanks *so* *much!!*

Raise the maximum SS taxable income to $250k instead of $168k and there will be enough for everyone. Currently, it is solvent until at least 2040, then will have to reduce to 75% payouts for about 10 years before becoming solvent again. The Boomers are already retired and Generation Jones is starting to retire now.
